Happy to accommodate plus vegan cocktails upstairs - Edit
CVC always have a vegan option on the menu, and we booked because it sounded good. However on the day they said as well as the vegan options listed they also had a vegan special. We couldn’t choose! The food was so tasty and filling, I think it’s 100% worth the price tag. Plus the cocktail bar upstairs (Aviary) does vegan versions of all its cocktails so you can get a piña colada or another cream based cocktail (I believe the only place in rugby that offers this!) after your meal.

Gorgeous restaurant - Edit
This is a beautiful restaurant and the service is excellent. They are not great at offering plant based options though lately offered a vegan option for each course.

Food is beautifully presented. Wine is lovely.
I would ask the chef to think about lentils, beans, ancient grains they all make nutritious meat free meals. We had vegetables stewed in stock with white rice. Not great for such a high end restaurant. Marginally better than gnocchi.
Cauliflower fritters were fab. We didn’t try the dessert option. A fresh fruit option with berries - summer pudding, for instance, can be lovely.
Make the soup with coconut or oat milk and boom, 2 vegan starters.
Just a bit more thought and you’ll knock it out if the park.
Pros: Lovely surroundings , Great service , A vegan option for each course
Cons: Not much choice, Unimaginative choice

A special treat - Edit
Good for a special treat with non-vegans. There was a vegan starter, main and pudding, and one or two other dishes that could be made vegan. I went for the genorously-sized meze-type starter, the rich tasty vegan 'steak' and chips, and very crumbly the apple crumble. All really enjoyable with lots of interesting flavours. Compliments to the chef!

This used to be good - Edit
Unfortunately Cafe Vin Cinq don't want to cater for vegans anymore. Every time we have asked for a menu we have been fobbed off. When we have eaten there their food was really good but their attitiude seems to have changed and we've not been since.
