Vegan menu.

Vegan menu has a wide selection. The yellow curry, crepe rice paper rolls and summwrvin a jar are all amazing.

Excellent

Have been several times, consistently have great vegan cusine with a bonus of gluten free

Pros: Vegan menu, Gluten free options

Cons: Served gluten soy sauce with gf entree

Super yummy and friendly!

I have been a few times at Cafe Viet, and can't wait to return! They have a whole vegan section on the menu, and all I tried was really delicious, fresh, crunchy, full of flavor. Plus, they are very friendly, the prices are reasonable, they have local beer, and they even offer a 10% discount to the members of the Vegan Society of Aotearoa New Zealand!

I recommend taking plates to share - summer rolls with vegan "duck", TOFU BANG BANG, crepes with a fresh filling...

Almost perfect

Loses one star for serving meat but otherwise it's an awesome place! Great service. Nice ambiance. Several vegan options for every course. Mostly gluten free too!

Pros: Vegan items clearly labeled, Desserts are Divine. , Authentic flavors.

Cons: Can get very busy, Not open for lunch

Loved loved loved the food

I don't go to many places where I can order three courses all vegan and each course is stand alone yum in its own right. But Cafe Viet does that. I had the Bang Bang Tofu as an entree and wow - what a dish. I have eaten a lot of tofu in my life but not had tofu done like this before. Loved the coconut dipping sauce and the tofu pieces themselves were crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside and just delectable. Both the lemongrass chicken and shaking beef were so tasty and very filling. I had a choice of two vegan desserts but went for the banana which was an excellent choice.
I just loved the whole meal and will be back.

Pros: lots of quality vegan choices, lovely staff, easy parking both off street and on

A great selection of Vegan Food, with great flavours.

Have enjoyed eating here several time before going vegan, I enjoy it just as much as a vegan. Easy to pick dishes as a vegan menu is own section.

Vegetarian and vegan menu

Delicious vegetarian and vegan options. All vegan society approved.
From vegan ‘Bang Bang no prawn prawns’ to Shaking no beef, Lemongrass chicken, kumera curry puffs so many options. The sticky rice and banana vegan dish is amazeballs! Also vegan wine options too!
Service is always great too! Love this place!

would recommend

Has its own vegan menu which is always awesome and makes life easier. All of the “meats” were extremely similar replicas of what they were trying to be, this freaked me out but everyone else loved it.
The yellow curry is delicious, the staff are very kind and the venue is cute and nice for a number of occasions. Worth a try.

vegan and vegetarian options

We went there several times over the last few years and every time there were more plant based options.
The new menu has a whole section of vegan options and I was really happy.
Tasty and healthy food.
The service is exceptionally lovely and helpful. Will happily come again and am glad we found this great local Vietnamese restaurant.

we love this place

The food is always good and now they have more veggie/vegan options to choose from. They have an excellent wine list too.
This place gets busy so it’s a good idea to book.
