Nice restaurant - Edit
Had the Quinoa burger there (35 BOB), the Mexi bowl (30 BOB) and a big and nice peanut-banaba-soy-milk smoothie (25 BOB). Good and friendly service. Bit pricy but totally worth. Portions are not for the biggest hunger.

Was cute and the staff were lovely, reasonably priced, although I found the food a little salty. They let me take the rest away that I didn’t finish too!

super pretty space and even prettier food! - Edit
Just stopped by yesterday to grab some desserts - the staff was just finishing up making the cakes, which looked amazing, but I took some energy nut balls to go and they were delicious. (both were peanut and Brazil nut blends, one with cacao and one with coconut, 7 bolivianos each or $1). The prices seemed a little more expensive than standard in Bolivia but the food was seriously beautiful. The space is open, with wifi, and is located in one of those gorgeous old homes in downtown La Paz with central courtyards. Will definitely go back!
Read moreUpdate: Two weeks later, stopped by for an early dinner with my family. What amazing food! We ordered three different warm meals (chickpea stew, arepas/corn tortilla with guacamole and quinoa 'meat', and a green minipizza) and a sandwich, plus drinks and desert. All of it was so delicious - and ultimately we paid about the price one pays at a nice restaurant in La Paz for five people, about 230 bs ($35 as of July 2016). Kid-friendly space too, which was so appreciated as my kids were happy and jumping around at times.
My only wish is that the menu were written in Spanish as well, so that locals who stumbled upon it would feel just as welcome. Will definitely go back again and again - what a treat to have this place in La Paz! We are extremely lucky. Changed my review to 5 stars. ;)
Update: Now it is 2020, and the food is still delicious! The restaurant has changed owners but the quality is still very high and the prices very reasonable. There are more desserts and regularly specials like vegan tucumanas, which is a Bolivian street food. After 10 years living in La Paz, this is our go-to restaurant!
Pros: Beautiful food, Friendly staff, Good price value
Cons: Wish they would open more branches!

Awesome lunchtime menu - Edit
A favourite for lunch when downtown in La Paz. I first visited a year ago and coming back this year to La Paz the wonderful food, staff and vibes have maintained themselves. The lunch menu (35 Bob) of soup, bread, drink and a bowl delivers delicious flavours everytime. Favourite bowl is the Mexi. The coffee is good, WiFi available and, if you have room, a whole host of desserts and cakes for the sweet tooth too.

Great food and drinks - Edit
My sister and I visited cafe Vida and sat outside on the balcony which is lovely. I ordered the Mediterranean salad bowl, she had the quinoa burger and we had the lemonade which is phenomenal served with lime and mint. The meals were so fresh and inventive, my sister had beetroot with her burger which i was excited to steal as she normally doesn’t eat it but she ate it all with the way it was cooked. The staff are really friendly. We didn’t have the set menu as wanted a vegan brownie. They make their own vegan ice cream bars which looked awesome. Some foods - a portion of money goes to a local street animal charity and little things like they have metal straws. 5* absolutely delicious.

Café Vida was delicious, colorful, healthy, and cheap. For 35 bs you get the soup of the day served with bread and differents types of hummus + a veggie bowl of your choice. You can also order different foods such as sandwiches, snacks, main dishes (burgers), smoothies, and deserts. The staff is lovely. The place is clean. The location is good. I've tried a few vegan places in La Paz and Cafe Vida is definitely in my favs.
