pretty bad

went here for breakfast with a few friends the other week, and i wish i hadn't. it wasn't cheap by berlin prices, and the food was bad, as was the coffee. the only vegan breakfast option is a plate of bread and spreads, which, for a vego place is pretty poor. the coffee was burnt, as was the soy milk, making it pretty disgusting. ordering a veggie breakfast and having vegan substitutions in it made for a much smaller meal at the same price. the beans were just a spoonful of heinz baked beans. at least the soy sausage was nice.

Very bad experience overall

The food was extremely salty and greasy. The tomato sauce was runny and spiced with something that tasted hot but was not flavorful. All the food seemed not to be fresh. The service was very slow, even though the restaurant was almost empty. The wait person was unfriendly and unhelpful. There were very few vegan options. This was the worst veg restaurant I've been to in Berlin.

Pros: Nice ambience

Cons: terrible food , bad service , very few vegan options

Terrible experience

Ridiculous service, totally unprofessional, outright rude and almost racist(?) [well, no wonder the suspicious aesthetics], the food is overpriced, the best thing was the variety of vegan options but the food itself was not that worth it, considering somewhat microwaved and not that flexible to adjust upon request. The waitress and the lady on counter were so rude and almost fought with us because they thought we weren't giving any tips (baring in mind that's not even legal in germany) whereas the truth is, the waitress didn't even give us much attention and didn't wait to see if we were giving any. would never recommend it, considering the spectrum of other cool restaurants in the area.

We are more than frustrated, we are enraged at such unprofessionality, because I definitely know the difference between being stressed as opposed to being impolite (and probably having prejudice), from refusing to recommend anything, aggressively pointing to the menu "everything is on the menu" to directing us directly to the counter because the watress wouldn't get change herself to our table (which was anyway fine for us because we were leaving anyway but the point is the attitude, let alone using the informal 'you' with us the whole time). Our bill was 27,10 € we handed in two twenty euro bills and 20 cents so we don't get much changes in coins in return, the watress started iffing and childishly showing annoyance and asking with outright rudeness towards the twenty cents "WHAT IS THIS" and handing it back to us, then she started complaining to herself "no tips? Ofcourse.." and she just aggresively left, all that didn't even take a minute, we stood there in shock. Baring in mind all that happened in german, we speak very good german and study in german universities albeit my physical non-white features, the other lady behind the counter started lecturing us in English now "this is a restaurant, where people are supposed to pay tips" we explained that the watress left really quickly and we were still trying to give in money, I started handing it a euro and was about to ask my friend to hand in her tips and the lady behind the counter started giving me looks and laughing at my money and I, totally rude and unprofessional. The waitress came at this point, trapped the one euro under a plate and said "Alles klar, Hauptsache ihr seid zufrieden [it's okay, as long as you are satisfied]" we left in shock and anger and this tainted our day with negativity.

Switching languages with us and treating us with prejudice is racist to me, especially when it comes from a white person with dreadlocks and a reclaimed swastika. There you go the whole story from my side for people so it's clear.
