Would Never Consider Going Back

It's too bad giving one star to vegan restaurants isn't allowed, because the trendy little half-hearted attempts at vegan food here tend to be overpriced, simplistic, and unsatisfying. This place was par for the course.

I went with a friend and a couple of minutes after we sat down I knocked over a glass of water. We used up our little serviettes immediately and tried to get our waiter's attention. He ignored us thoroughly, even though he was just standing around and wandering back and forth. We tried to get anyone's attention. One of the cooks, standing less than 2 metres from us behind the counter that also housed the cooktop, made eye contact and nodded with what I thought was the universal "Yeah, I see, one sec" look, but of course that wasn't the first time such a look also turned into being thoroughly ignored here.
We sat at the little table, completely covered in a puddle of water, and stared at each other awkwardly for between 5 and 10 mins. We had tried to get everyone's attention, in Japanese, politely but loudly enough for the whole café to hear (it's a small place of course) by the time our awful waiter finally came back.
We say, excuse us, can we have a towel, and he acts surprised and goes and gets one of those terrible little synthetic fiber towels that's extremely thin and never dry, which he then used to clumsily sweep the table puddle right into my lap. I jumped up and yelled "Really?! That is extremely rude!" because my Japanese isn't good enough to ask how it's possible to be that dense. He went to get something else, took the menu, didn't bring it back. What he did come back with was a pile of wet wipes, which he dumped on the table before scurrying away again. The table never did get 100% dry, but the water had sat on it for so long that the cheap rubbery finish came off in the form of something like wet eraser dust.
We hadn't ordered from the wet menu and waited/tried to get someone's attention another 5 mins until a different employee finally noticed.

We both ordered the curry set. The expectedly tiny salad items were pretty bland. The curry sauce somehow tasted like nothing whatsoever except burnt cardamom, and the brown rice was undercooked. The thin, single slices of veg exposed the boiled potatoes for the bland filler that they were.
3 / 6 of the desserts were gone, so we both got the gf vegan chocolate cake with a spoonful of watery ice cream. 750円, smaller than a smartphone and tasted like nothing. Embarrassing, really.

Delicious!

Came and got the curry ramen, and just wow! The Noodles were a bit slimmer, and more slippier, but the broth was thick and sooo flavorful. I ordered the disappointing blueberry muffins, that were just 4 lil bites and we're not worth around 500¥! I think you come here for the ramen or the food, and then you can cross over to Veganic to Go on the other side of the street to get an apple pie slice or the carob cookie ;) But the ramen was still soooo good and definitely makes up for the sub par excessively expensive desserts! I also got a cute happy cow sticker from here which is on my laptop!

Pros: Ramen is great, Close to Ropppongi Midtown

Cons: Deserts are $$$

Not Allll Organic

No problems with the food itself but went up to pay and saw the grapefruits for their juice bar had conventional labels on them.

They plaster "organic" all over their website and restaurant so it's aggravating to find out the're charging organic prices for conventional produce.

Will not go back because of this.

Tasty food, carnivores happy

This place is open late, and has wifi and power outlets. Lots of space, so when it's not busy I found it a good place to work for a while.

And also has an incredible menu, of ramen and not-meats and massive, hearty looking dishes.

The first time I went I had a soy latte and the chocolate gateau made with rice flour, accompanied by soy ice cream. Dense and totally satisfied the chocolate craving I'd been accumulating. This set me back 540 + 750 JPY.

I returned to try the ramen, and loved the Soy milk tantan, which is a decent 800 JPY. I didn't get the set, but tried a couple of other peoples' sides and they were great. Get a set if you're really hungry, but otherwise the ramen alone is a decent portion size. This time, I went with meat-eaters and they were all suitably impressed and full (most of them didn't finish all of their food).

chotto boring tan tan ramen...

I visited 6BT twice now and both times ordered the Soy Milk Tantan... the second time hoping it would be better as it's the only spicey dish and I love spicey food! It still just tasted like watered down soymilk, sesame oil with a bit of chilli. The noodles are kind of floury and dense...

The topping is some chopped up lettuce, one slice of red capsicum (red pepper) and a spoonful of dry soy meat :/

Pros: helpful and friendly staff , nice atmosphere

Probably better for lunch than for dinner

I am staying in Roppongi at the moment and was pleased to notice that there are several vegan options close by! I came here for dinner one night and had the chili fake meat set menu which included rice, soup, fake meat and a platter of small dishes. Some of which I wasn't sure what they were but as long as I am sure that something is vegan I am always happy to try it! I thought the menu wasn't too extensive if you are not a fan of ramen noodles, but if you are you'll be very happy. I would prefer to be able to choose from more varied options so I will be trying other places but I definitely would not be opposed to coming back one more time before I leave Tokyo :)

Pros: Nice food, Lots of desserts, beautifully presented

Cons: Would appreciate a slightly more extensive menu

expexted more

I was there in search for a vegan dessert, but they only had 5 choices, whereof 2 were ice cream with cracker/cookies. That was a bit disappointning. I eventually had the coconut cake, which was ok, but actually I can do it better :-/It was not so rich in taste, a bit boring.I have to say I expected more. But maybe it is different when you have real food, and not dessert there. They seemed to have a good range of lunch and dinner.

Cons: not so many options for dessert

My new number 1

Vegetarian restaurants can be split in two kinds: the ones the make vegetarian food taste healthy and the kind that make vegetarian food taste like regular food. The "Cafe 6BT" is of the latter kind. If you want to have dinner of lunch with carvinorous friends, this is the place where they won't complain about your choice at all. Quite the oposite: they will be surprised at how tasty vegan food can be! And the prices are fair as well...

The menu offers a wide selection of lunches (ramen, rice and vegetables, curry, sandwiches), dinner and snacks. And... the lunch selection is also available in the evening. We were so enthousiastic about it all that we visited the Cafe 6BT four times in ten days.

Being with a rather large group, between us we tried just about everything on the menu and everything was wonderful. The restaurant obviously uses high quality ingredients and knows what to do with them. Only the fried tofu was a bit too fatty for our taste, but that's a personal matter. The vegan ramen is much lighter and more delicate than the ramen at T's Tan Tan (a vegan ramen place at Tokyo station).

The steamed vegetables (dinner menu) were absolutely magnificent: not too soft, not too hard and giving the pure taste of high quality vegetables. The sweet-chilly tofu was also very tasty and of much higher quality than the average vegetarian restaurant in Tokyo. And did I mention the wonderful corn soup that comes with most meals?

Yet, Cafe 6BT's real talent seems to be in snacks. The tofu icecream that came with the dinner set was the best I ever ate. The cakes one can buy as a side dish are just splendid. The vegan yogurt with fresh fruit was, again, the best I ever tasted. The smoothies are expensive, but again the best in town.

After four visits I have only one complaint: the music. Every time we visited loud music was blastig from the ceiling. Why? We came here to talk and eat. Not to dance! And why such loud and obnoxious music? How about some calming music instead of pounding beats?

If you don't mind the loud music (or if Cafe 6BT decreases the volume), then here's how to find my new number 1 in Tokyo. Take exit 8 from Roppongi station. You'll see a large Mercedes-Benz dealership. The Cafe 6BT is at the opposite side of the road.

Pros: great taste, wide selection, fair prices

Cons: loud music

this place is the best!!

So my partner and I tried this restaurant first thing in Tokyo and we couldn't get enough!
We went 4 times!
Incredible food and the staff was always nice, the places looks really nice and it was never too crowded.
The Vegan miso ramen was probably my favorite but
I also loved the Soy Milk Tantanmen ramen but depending on who is cooking it one day it was quite mild and the next quite hot.
The dinner set with Chilli soy meat was quite amazing too. And I couldn't stop getting the Lemon Smoothie and my partner love the banana. Cannot fault this place

Pros: Amazing Ramen, Good Prices, Chilled atmosphere

delicious noodle soup and cake!

I found this place on my last day in Tokyo and I'm so glad I did. I ordered a noodle soup (I'm not sure if it is classed as ramen because it was made with soy milk?) which was spicy and delicious. I haven't gone wrong with any of the vegan ramen places I've eaten at, but this one was especially delicious – probably because it was creamy!

I had the chocolate cake with ice cream for dessert which was also delicious (and more expensive than my meal, but understandably).

I also got a scone to take away for breakfast the next morning. I was least impressed with this, it was a bit dry and not the right texture for a scone. But all the eat-in food was delicious – definitely make a stop here if you're in the Roppongi area!

Also the staff were lovely. They have good English and an English menu.

Pros: Delicious ramen, Lovely staff

Cons: Dry scone :(

Great place!

Lovely place. We got one Japanese curry with salad and soup and one taco rice dish with salad and soup. Bought vegan chocolate chip cookies to go. We got a bit lost because we left the wrong exit of the station ended up finding a Main Street in Roppongi, connected to free wifi at star bucks opened happy cow app again, open the happy cow map and it was very close. The map seemed to work even when we weren't connected to wifi or Internet data. Nice decor. Great food. Seemed like all vegan too. Lots of vegan ramen options too.

Pros: all vegan. , nice food. , open late.

so happy to have found a vegetarian curry

After three abortive attempts at finding a vegetarian Japanese curry, I was so happy to find this place on the way to the 21-21 design museum. Tasty. Big portions. Friendly service.

nice hangout place - simple food

Good location in Nogizaka with a cool layout. Music was a bit too annoying and loud for me.

If you are looking for a simple 1-off vegan meal. I guess this place is ok. However, do not expect any decent volume and do not expect any diversity in the food. Its real simple- most of the dishes are noodle based. My guess is they are aiming at a mostly female crowd who eat more like rabbits and who are more focused on ambiance of the place and the coolness of the staff rather than the menu.

I definitely felt the menu was a bit boring, especially when compared with the Pure-Cafe in Omotesando and Kobachiya in Akasaka....

The place is new- so perhaps they will expand their solid-food menu in the future. I certainly hope they do so and it would also be great if they also offered a large portion option as well.

Pros: location, ambiance

Cons: menu lacks diversity, rabbit sized portions
