Since moving to Atlanta about 5 years ago we’ve been disappointed at the available Vegan options. This is the exception and is our absolute favorite. We have noticed of late a trend towards more fried items on the menu which is concerning

Worth trying to find parking - Edit
The service was great and the food was fresh and flavorful. I came at lunchtime so the entire area was just super busy, but I'm glad I stayed patient and diligently looked for a parking spot. I don't think it's overpriced as some have mentioned, because of the area. I travel for work and I've spent way more for less.

Excellent Always and GREAT Party Place - Edit
We had my son's 30th birthday dinner at Cafe Sunflower. Javier, the manager, and everyone I spoke with and worked with were excellent in the party planning and for the event. They helped with the menu which came out to be excellent choices. Our 21 guests all enjoyed the food, service and atmosphere. Even our not so veggie friends who crinkled their nose, enjoyed the food and left with full stomachs. Thank you to an excellent restaurant. We were thrilled with the outcome of the party.

We enjoy coming here on special occasions because it's more expensive than we would like, but being an all Vegan restaurant is still something to treasure in this part of town. We have our favorites (Moo Shu Vegetables, Orzo Eggplant Lasagna, Spaghetti Squash Cakes, and the selection of Vegan Cakes), but I've had many meals where I'm disappointed in the dish I got (Impossible Burger, Sweet and Sour Soy Chicken, or the Wild Mushroom Fettuccini). Find something you like and keep getting it ... once or twice a year.

My omnivore husband orders food for entire family from here for my first vegan birthday. Everyone loved their dishes. It was a lot of satisfying and delicious entrees.

Cafe Sunflower has been here a lot of years, and though I knew it was there I never had the opportunity to dine there until I received an invitation a few weeks ago. I have to say after years of waiting to dine here, I was utterly & completely unimpressed. Insanely expensive, & not worth what they're charging, they could not even cook the Impossible Burger to order despite the fact that other restaurants are able to. The burger was a flavorless mess, and the staff didn't care. The food, including our apps, was fairly tasteless, so I really have no desire to return to the restaurant.

I love trying new vegan/vegetarian restaurants when traveling but I was so, so disappointed with this place. I paid $16 for a dish that honestly looked like it was frozen and just heated up. I got the Jamaican Black Bean Cakes because the server said they’re so good she gets them once a week. They disappointed in every way possible. Overly greasy, bad presentation, and just tasteless. I’ve been to MANY vegan/vegetarian restaurants and never have I had food this thoughtless, and so pricey! I do not recommend to anyone.

Great vegan only menu with friendly staff. Juices were fresh made and food tasted great! Desserts seem to be homemade. Is slightly pricier than other vegan restaurants but is also more of a finer dining experience than the other competitors in the area which feel more fast-casual than restaurant-like. Really liked that there weren’t any faux vegan “meats” forced on certain dishes. Great family friendly ambiance during lunch, and would seem like a wonderful vegan date spot for dinner.

Super cute, great atmosphere. Everything is vegan!! I went here for my birthday with my mom, and they gave us a free slice of cake. I ordered the curry bowl and she got the black bean patties. Huge portions and super yummy for $17 each. Came with a side salad and bread rolls.

Cafe Sunflower is really delicious, but it is pricey and definitely not casual dining. What I like best is that most items on the menu are vegan, the waitstaff are knowledgeable about different diets, and that the food itself is tasty. I feel like there aren't a lot of tables inside for the amount of time it takes for them to prep plates, etc, so you could be waiting for a while.

My sister in law is visiting Atlanta and I had the opportunity to choose a dinner spot for the two of us. Though she was a little skeptical and not 100% sure what vegan meant (no fish either?)...she enjoyed her meal and said she'd go again tonight if her conference weren't hosting a dinner for the attendees.

So Happy Cafe Sunflower Sandy Springs Went Vegan - Edit
Cafe Sunflower Sandy Springs has been a go to restaurant for years for Vegans. Most of the dishes were Vegan with a couple of exceptions for dishes with Egg or Cheese. I had dinner there recently and was pleasantly surprised to find out they are totally Vegan now just like their sister restaurant in Buckhead. The menu has some new and updated items which was much needed. The dishes with Vegan Cheese were terrific. Everybody had a wonderful meal and many of us had lunch for the next day as well. They deserve Five Cows!
