Delicious falafel! - Edit
I had the falafel with hummus and flatbread -really liked it! The falfel are crispy and tasty, the flatbread is also good. The portions could be bigger but it's a café so it's quite good.

Tasty, Clean - Edit
We had brunch here being a bean and egg dish, and a mushroom and bread dish. Both dishes were tasty and well presented. Sufficient food for each of us.

Decent food for a good cause - Edit
We had the cheeky bite and frijoles. Both were okay but nothing special and the size was disappointing. The place is not cheap either, so I wouldn’t really recommend it unless no other options are available. One positive is that they employ at risk youth. You can optionally donate to the FEM organisation at payment time.

Cons: Expensive, Small portion sizes, Taste nothing special

Wonderful & important social enterprise - Edit
Had the most delicious & hearty breakfast at Cafe Stepping Stone yesterday. The menu was clearly labelled with lots of vegan options, I had the mushrooms & spinach on toast with a side of avocado & coffee & a juice. So delicious & huge potions! My boyfriend isn’t vegan & had the scrambled eggs with sides & said that was delicious too. The whole concept of the cafe is incredible & so important to help local people out of poverty & providing wonderful training & bright futures for people. The service was excellent & I will definitely return. There is also a small area to buy local gifts and produce that supports fair pay and local makers, so we bought a few gifts. Highly recommend!!!

Disappointed - Edit
Was in need of some healthy food in Cartagena and ordered two of the only vegan dishes on the menu: the tofu bowl and mushroom toast . Sadly the dishes were very unhealthy and there was more oil on the plate than in an Saudi Arabian Oil field . You could literary squeeze the oil out of the tofu . Smoothie bowls also incredibly small for the price .

Cons: Expensive , Cooked with oil , Small sizes

So nice to find delicious fresh vegan food in this beautiful, very cool and colourful part of town. The Vietnamese salad with tofu looked and tasted awesome, and the falafel did too. Really enjoyed spending time here, hope to get back again.

Wonderful idea but not many vegan options - Edit
The menu changes yearly so the photos of the menus are not correct. There are only 2/3 vegan options and whilst they taste amazing, would be nice to have a bigger menu. Love the concept and ethics

The concept is great however the food is quite tasteless and expensive. The service is really bad, it took almost an hour to get our mushrooms and avocado.

Awesome!!! Good, beautiful food and concept. - Edit
Maybe the best chai latte I have ever had! So much vegan on the menu as well!
Read moreThe food and drinks and beautiful, healthy and taste good. We got toast, the mushroom-toast-thing and two different bowls. The green bowl felt a little boring first, but then it grew on me and my body felt very nurished.
The concept of a social business is good and feels great to suppost.
I will definitly come here again.
"Gringo prices" (as most in Getsemani and old city), but here you also support a good business and someone who values health and good vegetables. Thanks!

A Columbian swing to Melbourne's cafe culture - Edit
Delicious food, with most things vegan or able to be. A great cup of coffee (rarer than you'd expect here) for much better prices than the main tourist area. All for a good cause through FEM. A dining experience you can feel good about.

Really nice cafe, delicious food, social concept, friendly staff. Highly recommended. When we were there the choice was not huge. Could be that there is more on the menu in the evening. But anyways, our Mezze was amazing!

This cafe has a really cute interior and a few bigger tables in the back, which was nice as my group had 7. We all enjoyed our food, especially the vegan falafel and the corn fritters. Many things could be made vegan or gluten free and on top of that, the drinks were so fresh and delicious!

They can make most dishes on the menu to vegan friendly. Very tasty food and smoothies which they replace baby calf milk with almond milk. Little bit pricey but where is cheap in cartagena?? Just an overpriced city in general
