Cafe St. Jorge

Surprisingly, when I visited this cafe I found that they don't offer vegan matcha lattes, they should consider adding these to their menu since match is exploding in popularity these days. Moreover, while they offered a number of vegan baked goods, I found them to be average.

I'd work from this cafe again if I'm in the area, but I wouldn't go out of my way to do so since they only offer tea and no tea lattes.

Would give five if possible

An impressive little coffee shop with lots of labeled vegan things! Most of the pastries were vegan and a number of things on the menu too. Prices were expected San Francisco prices. A good place to work or simply to spend some relaxing alone time.

Pros: Lots of vegan options, not overwhelming expensive.

Cons: Need to find parking if you drive

Beautiful Portuguese food!

Lots of clearly identified vegan options in a mostly veggie menu (just a couple of meat dishes). The warmed home-made banana bread with vegan butter was out of this world!

Vegan Breakfast / Brunch options and lots of vegan baked goods!

This café has the most options of vegan baked goods in the city aside from Rainbow Grocery. Chewy amazing chocolate chip cookies, muffins, coffee cake and banana bread (and more). It's my go-to sweet tooth fix when I'm nearby in the Bernal Heights neighborhood. For a more substantial vegan breakfast I like their chia bowl or the quinoa bowl with fresh fruit, almost milk and walnuts. It's great protein and wholesome body fuel. Their Belgian waffle with fresh fruit is also vegan and is mighty tasty. I wouldn't bother with the pricey bougie toast but if you have the dough to spend it's good as well. They serve Stumptown coffee, which means it's good and strong and there are several alt mylk options for vegans too. The only thing that annoys me is not with the food or the staff, which are lovely. It's that the place becomes a laptop farm for those who "work remotely" so it's a lot of people starting at screens during the week.

Pros: excellent selection of vegan baked goods, 2 hearty vegan breakfast / brunch options, good coffee, friendly staff

Cons: lots of people on laptops during the week

great

Lots of great vegan baked goods--more vegan than not. Very good coffee and savory food too.
