Out of the city centre vegan café - Edit
I was told it would take about an hour for food, but I didn't mind too much. It would probably be quicker if you make a reservation. The set meal was delicious and the staff were friendly and helpful. The café had a nice, cozy atmosphere and also sold muffins, which were delicious.

Bland food, slow service but all vegan - Edit
Café Pony is a little out of the city center, but it's a cosy place. Staff is friendly but there weren't enough of them to provide a fast service.
Read moreWe ordered the burger set (with soup and salad) and a drink and sat for at least 1,5-2 hours until we were able to finish eating - very long waits.
That being said, the carrot soup was very nice - balanced and flavorful. The salad was fine. And the burger was pretty bland and not a very nice texture. All in all the food was underwhelming.
But it's always nice to find a fully vegan place in Japan.

I went here because it was the only 100% vegan place in town, and as I don't speak Japanese it made sense. The staff are very friendly, one of them had very limited English so I knew what I was eating and it was all very nice. Had a parsnip soup followed by a tofu salad platter, with unlimited tea top-ups.
