Cafe Phoenix does what it's doing well. It's fresh, tasty, and the staff are kind.

Super great breakfast! - Edit
We got the vegan breakfast burrito and the vegan Phoenix potatoes…both were really great! Super friendly service and vegan baked goods too! Would definitely eat here again! Little strange that they’re closed on Sundays and Mondays though…

Absolutely delicious - Edit
The phoenix vegan potatos were unreal. Sooo flavorful. And great cider on draft, too. Vegan hue is rancheros we’re also incredible. 10/10!

Cozy Café - Edit
I ordered the classic--tofu scramble, potatoes, and toast. Because there was no vegan butter for the toast, I spread the flavorful scramble on it.

Homey - Edit
March 2021, restaurants with indoor dining were still novelty, so I walked into this place and immediately started thinking about coming back before I had to leave town. I got my breakfast, with excellent service, and started thinking in terms of lunch today. Even if my parents were alive and my childhood home was still standing a I don't think it would have felt more comfortable. (Not totally fair comparison; one of the two is haunted by memories.)

Ever fall in love? - Edit
Plenty of vegan options - All made with fresh ingredients, cooked to perfection! We tried the vegan huevos rancheros, Phoenix potatoes, a smothered breakfast burrito, and everything was great! Relaxed atmosphere, nice outdoor seating, community oriented, and friendly staff. All around great place!

worth a stop - Edit
Cafe Phoenix is an amazing little cute cafe & is very very vegan friendly. they can make pretty much any meal vegan (& gluten free if that’s your thing). they have amazing coffee & many plant milk options for whatever floats your vegan boat. i had the huevos rancheros (so yummy) which definitely was pack punched with flavor. they also compost all scraps left on plates (so don’t toss em!) to feed “local hungry pigs”. definitely stop at Cafe Phoenix on your way through Arcata, California.

Great menu - Edit
Cafe Phoenix has an eclectic, ever-changing menu. Most menu items are carnivore but have 100% vegan options. Outdoor seating next to the garden is quite nice and dogs are welcome there. No WiFi--they'd rather we engage in old-fashioned face-to-face conversations. Ingredients are mostly organic & locally sourced--"farm to table."
