Disappointing with vegan food - Edit

Read moreIt was a Sunday and everything else was closed so I thought I’ll try again. I usually also for the breakfast burrito and they veganize it. It was so bad….first of all they cooked it on the meat grill! I could smell the burger they cooked before this. Then inside the just put plantain, gallo pinto (which did not taste fresh) and avocado that tasted off. My partner had the burger (not vegan) and was also disappointed. After years it really feels that beside one salad option they are not willing to properly cater to vegans so I’d just say come here for a smoothie and coffee because you will waste your money on the food.
I like this place however I am very disappointed by the limited amount of vegan options. They have almost milk but in terms of food, they have 1-2 options and a few others you need to remove half the ingredients for and pay full price. I have been coming here since they opened and they still have very poor options. Also THEY KEEP GETTING MY ORDERS WRONG
It’s happened on multiple ocasiones they mess up my order and put dairy in my drinks or food. Last time they gave me cheese on the burger and just scraped it off. Left the bun with butter on it 😖 Literally spat out the first bite. With that said, make sure you explain very well what you do and don’t consume, in order to avoid mistakes with your order.
I’m not sure if I will come back. There is a much better place around the corner we go to - La posada real where for the same money you get a whole dish full of local food, specifically for vegans.

After 10 days of jungle/rainforest living on beans and rice, old bread and jelly, fruits and over cooked veggies, this is a happy place 💜 Owner speaks English very well, doesn’t have many choices but what he has on the menu is really good. Even has frappuchino with almond milk!

Soya/Almond/Coconut milks - Edit
Soya cuppacino had very good foam and taste was also good but the coffee was let down by it being very luke-warm. This was after we had made it very clear when ordering that we wanted them very hot. I'm guessing the waiter forgot to pass on the message to the Barista but when you are paying such a high price you expect better. Would visit again tho

We found here the only coffee with almond milk in the whole town! The owner and his staff is super friendly and will make sure that you are happy.
