I liked it and would definitely go again.

Great place. The food was great, the service was great and the price was fair. The dessert was one I will be dreaming about for years to come - that blueberry cheesecake was to die for!

Pros: Amazing food., Bright and welcoming atmosphere, Loved the cheesecake.

Excellent

Food was excellent. I had the burger and fries and both were the best I’ve ever had. We also had their soup like, not sure the name on the menu, but my bf really enjoyed it. I also got a brownie and it was good but heavy.

Pros: Good food , Wifi

Cons: Parking

Never disappoints

This is the first veg place I ever went to in Edmonton back in 2018, and I couldn't stop dreaming about it until I returned in 2021! It was even better than I remembered. Everything is delicious, and the interior design is my plant-loving, twinkle-light café fantasy. My all- time favourite is the Open Secret Bowl (which I think has been removed 😭). I also love the Breakfast Bowl! Plus their desserts and drinks are amazing. You really can't go wrong here 🥰

Pros: So many options, Extremely delicious, Consistently good

Stellar

Delicious meals and beverages. Wonderful staff who were very accommodating. Great vegan desserts.

It was truly excellent pumpkin pie. Someone who I think was the owner was working and was amazing to customers too.

Exceeded my expectations!

Great vegetarian food in a cute location! Most of the dishes can be made gluten-free and/or vegan. The vegan pumpkin mac & cheese was so good - it also comes with a side of your choice (Caesar salad, spicy hash, fries, or grilled asparagus) and you have the option to top it with dairy cheese. The portion was generous, prices are reasonable, and the staff are very friendly. Their menu is very extensive and I'd love to try out more of their menu items, including the tiramisu!

Overall, I loved my experience here and I would definitely come back if I'm ever in Edmonton again.

Pros: Mac & cheese was amazing, Friendly service, Cute and cozy decor

Delicious Vegan Food

Loved everything I’ve tried here. My favourite are the XL Mosaic wings and ceasar salad.
On my last visit on August 28, 2021- our sever was exceptional good for a table of about 10 people.
I had Huevos Rancheros veganized with potatoes instead of the tortillas. The cashew sour cream was so good! I also had an iced cashew chai which hit the spot after a match down Whyte in the sun!
It’s a little tight in here for seating but I’ll ignore that for the excellent food and friendly service.

Pros: Yummy desserts , Trendy atmosphere, Good location

Cons: Small quarters

Great vegan Restaurant in the heart of Old Strathcona

I visit Cafe Mosaics all the time, but I also don’t go enough. It’s bright and clean and fresh, but feels as comfy as a college hangout or mountain lodge.

The food is creative and tasty, and there are options for everyone no matter how hungry you are or what mood you are in.

Staff are fabulous folx who brighten your experience.

Looking for plant based meals near the Fringe or University, you have found it! Enjoy!

Pros: Lots of vegan options , Great flavours , Lovely atmosphere

best and biggest

this place was insane. I'm not sure if it's because I'm not from North America but the portions are huuuge. and so so yum, the scramble tofu was in another league and I haven't had the cupcake yet but it looks ridiculous. I've been in Edmonton for two days and this is my second meal here...struggling to see why you'd go anywhere else.

Pros: shout out to free wifi , good playlist, huge portions

It’s a nice time if you don’t mind the wait

I’ve been eating at Mosaics for years. They’ve had renovations, menu changes, new staff... and yet staff training seems to be overlooked. Every time I’ve been here it’s been slow service. Or even rude.

Tonight I dined in with a group of friends. When I asked what the soup of the day was the waitress didn’t know and had to go ask the kitchen. When she returned she informed me that it was spicy asparagus, which she described as sounding “weird”. Didn’t sell me on the soup, had the kale caesar.

Fave place to eat!

This restaurant is my fave place to eat in Edmonton! I love the variety in the menu! You can choose between healthy options (which still taste yummy) or more deep fried/sweet options.

I wish so badly they’d go fully vegan! Pretty pretty please!!! I know The Moth Cafe is their sister restaurant and is vegan, but Moth has less options... and are missing out on some of my faves.

Faves/highly recommend:
Toona Wraps in lettuce leaves is a mussst (wonton wrappers are no longer vegan), unicorn burger made vegan without the egg or dairy cheese, Pho with extra veggies, Happy Cow Stirfry, Laughing Monkey Hot Pot, Stay Gold Pony Boy (Mac n cheese! This is dif than typical Mac... but it’s yummy! And the portion is small be warned!) and their chocolate cake!! (Topped with chocolate ganache and berries. Sometimes it’s been a bit dry but I find this will happen with some small restaurants)

Ps: Cafe Mosaics please go vegan and I will talk about you in every 2nd sentence of mine!
Sincerely a HUGE fan. Love you guys lots!

-
Cons:
-smell of eggs cooking sometimes when you’re sitting near the kitchen. Since going vegan certain animal products bother me more ... might sound snobby but it’s the truth.
-Sometimes it takes a long time for the waitress to make a drink. I’ve come to expect that service here CAN be a bit slower but overall is usually good.

Pros: Huge variety, I’ve enjoyed every item I’ve ordered!, Cute decor

Cons: Can smell eggs sometimes when you sit near kitchen, Slow service sometimes, Not fully vegan. Come on, you can do it!! 2019? ;)

Food mostly good but....

I feel kind of bad giving this place a 3 star but this is why: had a few things from here which were very yummy. Liked the mushroom pate and the vegan Benny. The sausage also tastes/ is delicious field roast. The cupcakes are amazing. The veganized croque madame was bland, but they can’t all be winners. The service is sometimes a little slow but friendly. The music is very loud and makes it hard to talk. The real issues though are that a client stopped here to get a bunch of cupcakes as a surprise treat. Incredibly nice of her but every cake was in its own individual plastic container.... like what the heck? Also got a small baked good and instead of a small cardboard bag it was given in a massive grocery sized brown bag..... maybe they were out of small bags. Also no refills on DRIP coffee, which knowing the mark up on coffee is pretty nuts. They don’t even charge a small refill fee but a full $3 for a second cup.

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Decent food

Cons: Uses plastics, Very loud music, Expensive and no coffee refills

Love Love Love

This is by far my favourite place to eat! I love going in here and having the option to ask myself what I am in the mood to eat. There is such a great selection of food, and 95% of the things I've tried, I've loved.
The unicorn burger, laughing monkey hot pot are my #1 choices at the moment but you really cant go wrong with anything on their menu!

Pros: Great Location, Amazing Food / Flavour , Love the atmosphere & people

Cons: Music is too loud = struggle to converse
