Unfortunately no vegan scones

Today I ordered cream tea with vegan scones, like it says on the menu (gluten free and vegan options for the cream tea). When the waitress put clotted cream on my tray I was alarmed and asked again if the scones were vegan. No, she said, we don’t have vegan scones. Ze asked a co-worker and the only cakes that were vegan was a blueberry traybake (sign said GF) and a kind of millionaires bread (sign said vegan and GF). I got the impression that the staff doesn’t know what’s vegan or not. And she reacted somewhat irritated. We left because we were disappointed they didn’t served vegan scones.

Cons: No vegan scones, Not enough knowledge about their own vegan options

Cute vegan finds

Was pleased to find lots of vegan options in the cafe including a vegan cheddar ploughman’s, vegan scones & cream and vegan vegan sharing platter

Excellent find . Lots of vegan options . We had the platter , it was lovely.

Fresh ingredients , warm bread and a great portion which was well needed after a long countryside walk .

Pros: Plenty to choose from . , Friendly staff and very helpful .

Nice place to visit

We came to see the water gardens, and we're pleasantly surprised to find that the cafe had lots of vegan options.
There's at least one vegan version for each section of their menu - sandwiches, wraps, jackets, ploughman's platters, cakes, fruit, plain and cheese scones, westcountry cream teas etc. Oat milk for drinks.
If we'd known this was here, we'd have planned our visit for lunchtime - settled for fruit scones inatead,which were served slightly warmed with vegan marg.

Pros: Vegan options in all sections, Lovely setting to visit, Free parking on site

Cons: Serves meat
