The nicest waiter was so happy to offer me the vegan tiramisu, cakes and coffee. I arrived in the afternoon and they still had the tiramisu and at least five vegan cake options (all of them looked delicious and the vegan Sacher was great)! Me and the people sitting on the next table were shocked about how good the vegan tiramisu was!! Definitely recommend this place!

Wir waren direkt 2 Mal im Café Maria Theresia weil wir beim ersten Mal schon so begeistert waren. Der Service ist sehr herzlich, die Auswahl an veganen Kuchen einfach ein Traum. Wir hatten eine Schoko-Sahnetorte, Kastanientorte und ein veganes Tomate-Mozzarella Baguette. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder wenn wir das nächste Mal in Meran sind. Danke für so viele vegane Optionen, das ist ja leider nicht selbstverständlich! Ich würde gerne 5 Sterne geben, wenn das ginge.

Wir haben das vegane tiramisu gegessen und fanden es sehr sehr lecker! Es gab auch belegtes Brot mit Tomate Mozzarella, Sacher torte und schwarz Wälder Kirsch- das haben wir leider alles nicht gegessen. Alle mitarbeiter*innen waren wirklich sehr nett und ich fand es schön dort zu sitzen. (Der Kuchen hat glaub ich 4€ das Stück und das tiramisu etwas über 6€ gekostet, schon also eher teuer aber finde es hat sich gelohnt)

Altough I love Merano City so much, it is one of my favourite places in the world so I am always coming back....BUT if you are vegan, eating can be a bit challenging. Everywhere seems to be Speck, Cheese and Egg-Pasta....Bad luck first that the Pöhls Café ran out of vegan cake today. But then it was good luck we found, with some help from Happy Cow, this lovely little Bistro Maria Theresia where we felt very welcome. 4 different vegan cakes, location is marked as "vegan friendly" outside. The offer snacks like bread and baguette. Also you can ask for other options. Friendly staff, good vibes, we will come back for sure!

Bereits von außen ist das Lokal deutlich als „vegan-freundlich“ gekennzeichnet. Auch in der Theke sind die veganen Produkte deutlich zu erkennen.

Read moreWe had a tasty sandwich (wild garlic-flavoured tofu patty, tomatoes and lettuce on typical local rye bread, i.e. Vinschgerle, plus aioli on the side) and some great aperitivi.
The cake was sold out but we'll be sure to try again another day – and the signature vegan tomato and mozzarella baguette, while we're at it :)

Von außen etwas unscheinbar, innen dafür angenehm ruhig ohne Hektik. Veganer Kuchen sehr lecker, man muss nur achten, daß er nicht gerade vergriffen ist. Auch guter Hinweis von der Bedienung, dass die Trinkschokolade (leider) nicht vegan ist.

There are quite a few vegan options. Various cakes, tiramisu, sandwiches (tomato and vegan mozzarella, cheese etc) for a very affordable price.

Wir waren hier für einen Zwischensnack und hatten Bauernbrot mit Bärlauch-Tofu, Tomate und Aioli sowie danach vegane Sachertorte. Ein Traum! Dazu sehr guter Kaffee mit Hafermilch. Sehr netter Herr dort und wirklich ein hübscher Ort für eine Pause.

Das Café ist gut erreichbar mit dem Bus und das Essen hat super geschmeckt! Sehr anständige Preise und sehr gemütlich (man kann auch draussen sitzen!!) Der Besitzer war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und konnte gut Auskunft über die veganen Optionen geben. Würde definitiv wieder dahin gehen

We went there yesterday, on a Saturday. We were expecting lots of vegan options (they advertise vegan options) but there was only one piece of vegan cake available and nothing else was vegan. We shared the last piece of cake and it was really good, not too sweet. The owner (?) was really nice and told us to come back on weekday when there is vegan tiramisu etc available. Maybe call there ahead if you're going on Saturday to make sure they have something for you.
