Cafe Louise
Serves meat, vegan options available. Cafe with several locations. Menu is mostly lacto-vegetarian, with a few meat sandwiches. Could make an item vegan by request. In-house made freshly baked bread. Name on the restaurant is written only in Hebrew.

Very good - Edit
The place is good, with lots of vegan options. The best one is the sandwich. The price is okay.

Vegan Breakfast Outstanding! - Edit
Cafe Louise has an option of a Vegan Breakfast Spread. It comes with sweet potato pancakes with greens, bread, a garlic/olive oil spread for the bread, and then a bunch of other dips and such like sundried tomatoes, olives, a walnut pesto, cooked apples, tahini, and a side salad of either quinoa/raisins/carrots or tomato/onions/cucumber/peppers. It also includes fresh juice and tea. Excellent. I highly recommend. In addition to the breakfast spread they have a vegan pasta dish and a sandwich with roasted tofu and mushrooms, as well as a juice bar.
Pros: Excellent food, Nice vibe
Cons: English menu outdated

nice change of pace - Edit
I agree with the previous review about the options on this menu being a welcome change of pace from standard veg-friendly Israeli fare. The quinoa salad I had was very tasty and a generous portion. My husband had the pasta arrabiata, which was better than at many Italian restaurants. The tapioca we had for dessert was really good. Unfortunately, I had expected the chocolate drink to be vegan, but unfortunately, it's not. Also, we were there in the evening and expected it to have more of a cafe-like ambiance, but it was more like a diner. Still, it was a nice change of pace.
Pros: healthy, generous portions, pretty tasty
Cons: no ambience, not as many options as I'd hoped

Great place to visit - Edit
This is a really nice little cafe that was quite the oasis for vegan travelers tired of falafel and hummus in Israel. Cafe Louise (watch out the name on the door is only in Hebrew, but it is Cafe Louise in both languages) provides a number of interesting salads (including seaweed and noodle salads), as well as a few vegetarian sandwiches, and several vegan pastas. In addition, they have soy milk for coffees and also do a real Chocolat drink (in French style) using dark chocolate and soy milk. Fresh juices here as well, and lots of wonderful breads made on the premises. Well worth a stop if you are in Haifa. Not cheap, but certainly not expensive by Israel standards.
Pros: lovely atmosphere, good variety of food, healthy
Cons: a little tricky to find
