Very friendly, cosy place - Edit

Cafelinchen offers drinks with either soy or oat milk, a variety of cakes (raw cakes on Thursday!) and lunch. The atmosphere is cosy, and the owner very friendly and always open for a chat. The lunch is rather simple but inexpensive.

Pros: Everything is vegan

Cons: Be quick on Thursdays, before the raw cake is gone

Perhaps not the best day to visit - Edit

We visited Cafe linchen, and were excited for vegan cakes and coffee. I wasn't thrilled by the service, we asked for tea and got a stack of boxes dropped on the counter. I think they can better communicated the teas they have on the the board, and also mention the soy milk oat milk option. The cakes were kind of dull, in variety and taste, personally the recipes felt like veganised versions of cake (like replacing milk with soy-milk type of deal for a recipe non-vegans use-kind of taste), rather than making a cake that's inherently vegan from bottom up. We both left the place rather unexcited. Other reviews and photos show more creativity. It should be noted the cakes they had fit very much into German tastes, so that may be a experience for some.

Pros: vegan

Cons: Veganised version

Always a pleasure - Edit

A wonderful place for a cup of tea or coffee and a piece of cake. The very nice owner and only employee serves selfmade cakes (on Thursdays even raw ones) and tasty organic coffee. Every day there is also something warm to eat for little money. The cafe is very cozy, so you can easily spend some time there. On hot days a possibility to sit outside is given and you can get ice cream to cool off.

Pros: nice staff, raw cakes on Thursdays, often gluten-free cakes

Super nice, cute cafe - Edit

I loved the cozy atmosphere, the lovely host, and the yummy food at Cafe Linchen. We were there for lunch (they had one dish or different sandwiches) and of course we also couldn't resist the selection of cakes. I liked that the portions were rather small - and the prices were fair - so you weren't too full or overate on just one thing. Eg lunch was only € 3.80 when we were there and a slice of cake around € 2. For hot drinks, they had soy and oat milk.

I'll definitely return and highly recommend trying it!

Pros: cute and cozy, super friendly staff, yummy, not too big portions
