a good risotto, nothing exceptional but the view and the tranquility of the place are worth it

Vegan risotto with a view! - Edit
As other have mentioned only one vegan meal option on the menu - soy-based spinach & mushroom risotto with a beautiful fresh side salad the also offer French fries as a side. This has an eclectic cafe vibe with spa music overhead. Fabulous view of the Otorri gate and water.

Nice view and peaceful - Edit
It's a simple menu with only one vegan option (risotto) but that was fine for us and we really enjoyed the dish which also had a generous portion of salad. Iced chai and organic coffee were great but we forgot to ask for soy milk!

Tasty vegan risotto with a view - Edit
As others have mentioned, this place has a very small menu with one item being vegan - a spinach and mushroom risotto with a salad. It was very tasty and a good portion size. The view of the floating red torii was beautiful and the staff were helpful.

Very nice view - Edit
Very nice bar with a wonderful view on the red tori in the sea. I had the vegan risotto and I loved it. It is served with very fresh salad. You can also ask for the Hiroshima udon without bacon and egg.

Excellent - Edit
With only three items on the menu, one of them, a spinach and mushroom risotto is vegan and very delicious. Served with a salad. There is lovely view of the water and shrine. I wanted to give it 5 stars, but it’s not a fully vegan restaurant.

Great tea. Good risotto. Fab view. - Edit
Great view from here. The soy milk risotto (the only veg item on the menu) was very good; really rich. Not sure that the salad dressing was vegan so i would recommend asking them to serve it without dressing (the salad came out dressed) they serve Mariage Freres earl grey which was a special surprise. They also serve the local Miyajima beer. No vegan desserts on offer. I’m giving it 3 stars because there is only one menu choice for vegetarian/vegan but I’d go back again.

Vegan risotto ! - Edit
The highlight of this place was not only the vegan risotto but the view from inside and stylish, well decorated space. It feels like a place you can relax in and the food was really good. They take care of details and you can tell with little things like a support for the spoon. I had a good time and would go back!

Cute café looking out over the torii gate - Edit
Used this app to dive this place, a small café overlooking the great torii. Had three things on the lunch menu, noodles, mushroom/chicken curry and what I had: risotto made with soy milk with mushrooms and a big salad. Perfect on this warm day and also away from the crowds. Had a lemon beer with my meal which was just what I needed.

Delicious soy milk risotto - Edit
On a day trip to Miyajima faced with very little vegan options I decided to visit Cafe Lente. I was very pleased I did because the soy milk risotto was delicious, probably one of the best risotto I've ever had.

Great find on Miyajima - Edit
We wandered into Cafe Lente last August, before it had a HappyCow listing. We were pleased to find out that one of their 3 meal options is vegan. Staff spoke some English and were very kind and helpful, verifying that the risotto did not have any dairy ingredients. We tried to explain what HappyCow was, and they were happy to be listed here. Plentiful selection of drinks including coffee, soft drinks, beer, cocktails, tea, and organic wine. It is air conditioned! A nice place to cool down and refuel while exploring Miyajima.
