it's a PITA this place is closing soon

Best Pita Falafel in the world. Order the Pita Mix and you get falafels, 3 oriental sauces (hummus, tahini, peppers-tomato sauce), homemade salad in a delicious crunchy/fresh Pita bread (to go for 10.50.-). The melouah is also divine. Ami (the owner) wants you to have the best culinary experience ever and thus is extremely direct and gives the place an authentic vibe.

Pros: A couple of vegan options , Central location, Take away

delicious and warm welcome

The owner of the restaurant suggested many options for a vegan dish. Skip the sauce with yogurt and give extra houmous. We ordered fries and he gave ketchup instead of mayonnaise. The owner said he is going to quit the restaurant. So go before it’s closed!

Pros: more than enough food

In the pedestrian center

As we arrived with hurry to catch some rendez-vous, the chief made us falafel salad with vegetables balls and different dips (humus, oignons and pepperoni, and Baba Ganush which he warned us that contains mayonnaise with eggs, in case we were vegan)
Really tasty and stomac-filling

Pros: Location, Opening hours, Ask if vegan

Cons: Really small place

Vegetarian section can be made vegan

Not tried it yet, but according to staff the whole vegetarian section can be made vegan. Since their website is currently broken, I've added a picture of their menu. The location is good but small.

Excellent!

The restaurant is located in the Old Town of Neuchatel so easily reachable walking.
It's opened all day long on Saturday so we were able to have lunch at 3pm.
The staff was very welcoming and the boss even came to say hi to us by shaking hands, which I found very sweet :-)
The waitress was very nice too and explained us everything about the menu, with even more details when we told her we were vegan. Btw, they have a "vegan" logo next to the entrance door.
So we ordered a "melahoua" which is a typical Yemenite (puff pastry with tomato/onion sauce).
Then we had a big plate with homemade falafels, rice with spices and salad. We also ordered some hummus as a side dish because one cannot live without hummus haha
The food was excellent and we could see everything was homemade with fresh products.
I highly recommend this place!

Pros: Very nice welcoming, Good veggie/vegan food, Location

Cons: Price is a bit high
