Ansonst hat mir das Ambiente sehr gut gefallen!

Sehr nettes Personal in schöner Atmosphäre. Die vegane Auswahl war umfangreich und alles war sehr lecker. Absolut empfehlenswert. Eigentlich wären hier 5 Sterne angebracht, leider geht das bei omnivoren Locations nicht.

When we arrived and asked if there were any vegan options we were assured that of course there were, but upon checking the menu I only saw a Beyond burger (which I hate) and a vegan open sandwich. The guy behind the counter then acted surprised and said "oh, vegan, not vegetarian..." So be sure to specify more than once that you want vegan food.
Read moreThere's plenty of outdoor seating by the lake in the garden. Nobody seems to take care of the garden, but perhaps that's supposed to be the charm of it. In any case, it's lovely on a sunny day.
The open sandwich wasn't bad but I wish instead of using vegan vegetable sticks (probably Iglo) they would have been more original.
When we wanted to order a cake we sadly were unsuccessful, after waiting for perhaps 45 minutes nobody came to check on us, take our empty plates, or ask if we needed anything else. Trying to get the attention of the waitress also didn't work.
Normally I would have just paid and left, but since there are no other options in Itzehoe we ordered a peanut chocolate cake at the counter to take home. After providing feedback to the guy behind the counter he seemed to not really care, though it looked like the manager overheard our conversation. Would be interesting to see if they can improve the service.
I ate the cake at home, and it was absolutely delicious! Would like to try the other ones.

Wir wurden freundlich und zuvorkommend nach einer langen Autofahrt auf dem Weg in den Urlaub in Empfang genommen. Es gab 4x veganes Frühstück, von dem wir vieles mitnehmen mussten, weil es so reichlich war. Viel Brot, Aufschnitt, Margarine, Obst, Grillgemüse, frisches Gemüse, verschiedenen Hummus und reichlich Nuss-Müsli mit Pflanzenmilch und -Joghurt. Wirklich der Hammer! Würden wir immer wieder hingehen! Auch die vegane Brokkoli-Nuss-Ecke war sehr lecker.

Finally vegan options in Itzehoe! - Edit
I was very surprised, when I found out that you can finally get vegan cakes in Itzehoe. And the ones at café Königsberg are quite delicous! When I went there, they had three different options, two of them where Rice Pudding balls with filling and the other option was something like a banana-chocolate roll. All of the options where gluten-free too and they had even a few more gluten-free options like macarons, which unfortunatly where not vegan.
Read moreI decided to get the Rice Pudding ball with cherry-marzipan filling and a few weeks later I got cake, both as take away. It was pretty good, especially the cake. Would defenetly go there again!
