We had the small breakfast plate that comes with a croissant plus an additional pain au chocolat. Both the croissant and the pain au chocolat were divine and are a must have when going there! Eager to try the cinnamon roll and pudding swirl next!

Today is carnival (fastelavn) and I enjoyed one of their fastelavnsboller. It was really delicious. It is clear that Cafe Harepus puts a lot of love into their baking.

My breakfast experience here was great. The staff was very nice and offered to help with the Danish on the menu. I took the “Lille Morgenmad”, which was a fantastic choice. It was the first time after quite a while that I had a croissant again - a very tasty one. However, the “Bolle” (bread roll) topped everything. So so yummy!

This is the best cafe in Aarhus! Pastries are lovely - especially the chocolate croissant and pistachio buns are to die for! Great coffee as well. Once in a while there are carrot buns and focaccias (tasty as well!). The owner Nanna is always friendly and smiling.
Read moreIt's a cozy little place, in the summer you can sit outside in the yard as well. I hope they will expand some day and get a bigger location, that would be awesome.
