Tasty! - Edit
We have been here a couple of times and been pleased. The food is tasty and all vegan. A good variety of choices. Save room for dessert, they are all excellent particularly the key lime pie. We have had the crispy mushroom sandwich very good. The nachos were good. The eggplant Parmesan sandwich was so good.

Delicious - Edit
The food here is so good, but out of the three locations I've been to this is my least favorite. It seemed like I was rushed here. I wasn't offered a refill on my tea, and I couldn't access the internet to leave a review. My next L.A. trip I'll try Larchmont. I absolutely love the I Am Hospitable but Costa Mesa doesn't serve it. I found it in San Diego. I'll have to check Gracias Madre to see if they have it.

Something for everyone - Edit
My first time to this location, super cute & friendly staff. Manager was great & very helpful with navigating the menu around my moms nut allergy. She ended up with the tofu scramble & breakfast potatoes, came with toast & a house made roasted strawberry jam which was delicious. My fiancé had the “chicken” & waffles, he is more of a junk food vegan & he loved it. We all did immunity shots as well. Great brunch spot for vegans & non vegans.

Wholesome eats - Edit
Cafe gratitude is a classic staple for whole foods plant based eats. The establishment has gone through some years of an evolving menu since their early days in SF offering purely plant based raw food. It’s great to see that they continue to offer gourmet raw food items to this day.
Read moreThe current menu has so many great items you really can’t go wrong with any choice. The quality and menu formulation has always been consistent and delicious.
For this time around I ordered the I am Loving bowl, the I am Devoted bowl, the sparkling lemonade, and the strawberry rhubarb pie and everything was delicious! I look forward to returning to trying out some of the other menu items that are new to me. This location is a great spot for a date night or a lunch meet up. The staff at this location are great and were attentive, accommodating, professional and the food preparation was on point.

I came here with my boyfriend and we both LOVED IT. I got the “chicken” and waffles and it was so fun and the oyster mushroom was amazing. He got a toast with mushrooms and almond ricotta and we were both blown away - deff recommend!

I had the smoothie and the squash pasta. There are some restaurants that are just so good that it seems like they canta go wrong. This was that.

High quality food - Edit
Totally different menu from the Larchmont location (which is my favorite menu). Still amazing! Plant focused, rarely include meat replacements (thank you) with macro sensibilities. Always unique. My only comment is the food is super high priced probably because they are downtown, yet it’s not a “fancy” restaurant experience. Please don’t price vegans out of eating casual healthy food💜

Location... - Edit
We love Cafe Gratitude, obviously. It’s just that this location is situated way back in the kind of lifeless arts district and underneath some industrial layers of buildings and freeways or trains or something. Jack hammers were going the entire time. Not the cutest vibe like other spots, but the food is just as good!

Exceptional Began Food with a Positive Vibe - Edit
Let's get this straight- everyone needs a positive vibe now and then, if not most of the time. This cafe - like the other CGs - embraces the positive, and I like that.
Read moreThe food is consistently tasty and healthy. The buffalo cauliflower was good and served as a large portion, but I would have preferred it to have a little more kick as well as a blue cheese (vegan of course) dip instead of the green goddess dip.
My Determined meal - keto with added smoked tofu - was on the smaller side but straight up delicious.
Pros: Great vibe, Great options , Friendly wait staff
Cons: A bit pricey, Should have larger entree portions

Amazing food and vibe! - Edit
I went with my non-vegan family members and it was a huge hit! We got the buffalo cauliflower, coconut calamari, guacamole, bolognese and the pad Thai. For dessert we had coconut ice cream. Everything was so good and was enjoyed by everyone. (The pad Thai is served cold, just to note). The service was also so great and competent. Would definitely recommend!

I am... - Edit
Cafe Gratitude is a nice cute spot. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is really nice. I've tried mostly everything on the menu and there's really only a couple of things that stand out to me. The enchiladas are my favorite, the coconut civeche and all their drinks. Other than that It's just meh. Very expensive as well.

Amazing French toast! Haven't eaten one in 20 years, great comeback. Just the right amount of everything, and not at all small.
We saw plates other people ordered and they sure looked good.
The service was great - the waiter was really nice, the food didn't take too long.
If I remember correctly, the menu was long and had a lot of options and different sort of dishes.
Pros: grear food, great service, clean and the food looks great
Cons: perhaps not the ceapest place, but worth the money
