mostly good - Edit
Food is ok but waited over an hour for two breakfasts last week despite being the first (and only for some time) people to order

Great, everyday, inexpensive vegan food - Edit
This is a very friendly, vegetarian café that has loads of vegan options. They have every type of plant milk you can think of as well as dairy free margarine, cheese and icecream. They have a good selection of meal options from pizza, burgers, panninis, full vegan breakfast, things on toast etc. If they have the ingredients they will adapt their menu to what you want. Tasty vegan cupcakes available too. Their portions are generous and the food is inexpensive. They have a resident cat too! The service can be slow though so not a place if you are in a hurry!

excellent vegan cupcakes :) - Edit
We went to find the vegan cupcakes and were not disappointed by them. The vegan burger however was nothing special.
Read moreIt didn't feel overly safe walking from the centre, we passed quite a few adults and teenagers who were either drunk or worse down either side of the transport museum. This was a week day, before 6pm. One guy was so out of it we had to get him some help. Saw a different side to Coventry. Wish it was in a less dodgy location!

You really MUST eat here - Edit
Went today with my meat eating friend, Both ate 2 courses of scrummy vegan food and BOTH really enjoyed the food. For excellent cruelty free food at super prices, this place is a must visit. Even the coffee was superb, and all at 10 quid a head! PS Vegan CUP cakes to drool over...we had 2!

Great Place! - Edit
Great food, brilliant prices, lovely atmosphere and friendly staff! In a desert for vegans/vegetarians, EGO is a welcome place. Slightly off the beaten track (but 1 minute from a car park), I would recommend this place to anyone anytime!

Vegan delight - Edit
It would be difficult to praise this establishment too highly, with good healthy veg and vegan food at very affordable prices, good service and great selection of drinks in a nice comfortable atmosphere.
Read moreI`ve tried several of the available vegan eateries (veg is okay but my interest is vegan food) and this is without doubt the best I've ever tried. Not only is the food great but as most mains cost only £4 the price (it is a non-profit organisation I understand) makes it affordable enough to eat at every day!
There is free (real free -not the annoying sign up) WiFi and the coffee is superb. Vegan beer at reasonable price and events including monthly movie night and performances it really is the hottest spot in the area.
The cafe is somewhat hidden from the town sitting behind the transport museum and a little hard to see being located behind a large metal fence, but dont be put off because this really is the pearl on the oyster that is Coventry.
