One of my favorite meals in France! - Edit
Looking for vegan options after the vegan restaurant in town that we wanted to try was fully booked, and this place was a gem! Sat outside and enjoyed one of the best meals on our trip to France! They had vegan and gluten free options that were clearly made with care! Wine was fantastic.

C’est toujours délicieux et travaillé pour des prix abordables pour Aix (environ 18€ le plat, 6,50€ le dessert).
Grande terrasse ombragée et très cosy à l’intérieur. Le personnel est toujours gentil et attentionné.
Le chef du restaurant est végane !
Bref c’est mon petit QG et je vous le conseille fortement 😊

Great Spot - Fait Maison - Edit
The menu is always changing and the dishes are great. They have a beautiful terrace and interior is cute. The owner takes pride in her restaurant and is connected with the community. The portions are just right to you wanted just a bit more. It works for adding a dessert. Really awesome overall.

This was, I believe, the only veggie/vegan place in Aix open on Monday morning, so I stopped by for breakfast. They have no vegan breakfast options! You have to order the avocado toast, remove the cheese, and then they replace it with a gross amount of olive oil. I also ordered a lattee with oatmilk. The server was kind, I was just surprised a vegetarian restaurant had no vegan option except for a MODIFIED avo-toast.

My latte was pretty good, but there are a bunch of places with not bad plant-milk lattes in France, so it doesn’t merit an extra star.
Maybe I should have known that their breakfast was only veggie, and the vegan options come later in the day (they seem to be pretty good based on the place’s HappyCow rating). But either way, still disappointing and absolutely not worth my time! Nice outdoor seating though.

Nous sommes venus en famille pour prendre le petit déjeuner. Que ce soit sucré ou salé, tout était excellent, mais nous sommes restés sur notre faim, les portions étaient petites. On est allés à la boulangerie à côté pour compléter notre repas... Terrasse très agréable sous un platane, serveur très sympathique.

Enjoyed our meal at Cafe du Temps after a busy morning at market day. The staff greeted us on arrival, were welcoming and cleared a table for us while managing a full restaurant of patrons. The menu had three vegetarian lunch options with one vegan , though the waitress was communicative and able to easily modify another dish to make it vegan. The food was tasty and had a creative combination of flavors. The orange blossom smoothie and strawberry pistachio tea were both refreshing options that helped us cool down. The ambiance, decor and music positively added to our experience. If you are in Aix en Provence and plant based this is a great option!

Very limited vegan options, and very basic.
I asked a burger and had to suggest to use bread instead of the bun which is not vegan.
It is very disappointing in s vegetarian restaurant to have so little vegan options and not a single options to adapt the meal to vegans.
We don't feel welcome at all.
No vegan desert neither.

Wasn't a fan of the seitán in the "burger". With all the recipes available now that can make a fantastic texture and flavours, it was quite tasteless and cheewie.

Usually they always have one vegan option or you can ask for making the vegetarian dishes vegan. They change the menu regularly what is really nice and the food is pretty fancy.

The very friendly staff told us about the vegan dishes on the menu, or which one could be made vegan upon request. We ordered a smoothie, a homemade juice and kind of local spaghetti soupe. All of it tasted great. The flavours were extraordinary and we were very happy about the whole meal.

I would have given them 1* if I had rated them when I sat down and realized they had removed all the vegan options.. but they did really well in the end. I believe the menu changes regularly, so just call or ask them directly.
Read moreWe veganized the "toast of the day" (see pics).. which I think ended up being totally different than the original dish on the menu, and the waiter talked to the chef who ended up making a super tasty vegan salad for my mum (NOT just lettuce :)). I hate eating salads in restaurants, but I have to admit I never had something quite like that. It felt very authentic southern cuisine and did not disappoint.

No real vegan cakes available - Edit
I asked for vegan cake and got offered 3 different ones. I ordered. Later I got doubts and asked again if all are vegan. I got the answer that only the Chia pudding is vegan, which actually is not a cake. I then got it served with whiped cream which seems to be not vegan. I am not asking again as it seems like the staff does not understand or care about what I am saying. 😞

There was only one vegan dish, but it was delicious. A lentil based mix with rice and samosas. And they had a vegan apple pie for desert. The menu says they close at 1430 for meals, we arrived at 1425 and were served. And the servers were super friendly. They may serve past 1430, that's just what the menu said.

It looks like they have a constantly changing menu. This time they had one vegan dish available, but it was a very delicious red lentil curry with white rice and samosas. It was a really pleasant place with kind and energetic waiters.
