Stay away

Awful service, they brought us salad with eggs even though we ordered the vegan dish. The vegetables had butter and apart from that the food was disgusting and expensive. The person who works in the kitchen does not know how to prepare vegetables, falafel just tasted like cardamom and the rice was overcooked. Also the waitress was very rude, no thank you or sorry for the mistake. Also very expensive, so everything was bad.

Pros: No pros

Cons: Food, They don’t know what vegan means bur they offee, Vegan dishes that are not vegan

Better on non-bbq nights

Worth first mentioning that the vegan option(s) on non-bbq nights or at lunch actually looks quite good!

For BBQ night I had a vegetable skewer with rice and a salad (plus some bonus boiled vegetables). With a beer the total was around R$75. Always happy to have a vegan option but it was certainly nothing special.

I think there are better options on the island.

Pros: Good location, Friendly staff

Cons: Vegan option an afterthought, Salad + veg not so fresh

The vegetables are sauteed in butter. They never tell you this, unless you ask them in the kitchen. Most of the waitresses don't know this information.

Falafel

The falafel dish is nice but the falafels are very salty. The fish is pretty pricey for what it is but the taste was good.

Amazing falafel

We went twice , once on BBQ night. The falafels were a particular highlight , as were the range of fresh juices available as well. Waiting staff spoke Portuguese , Spanish and English, and were friendly .

Pros: Wide variety of drinks , Meal size was substantial and filling

Cons: Only two or three options , Pricey

visited twice

I visited here twice during my Ilha Grande trip. First I came for a late lunch and had the vegan falafel accompanied by rice, veggies and salad. I thought the falafel itself was relatively tasteless and didn’t enjoy it, but the accompaniments were great. My second visit was for the evening bbq where the vegan option was vegetable skewers with the same accompaniments as the first meal. This was a good hearty meal. The fresh fruit juices are a must try and very good.

BBQ night was a delight!

We decided to visit this restaurant for a traditional Brazilian BBQ. The meal included two giant vegetable kebabs, rice, more vegetables and salad! Delicious meal on the healthier side and very satisfying. Slightly on the pricier end but worthwhile as it was a large meal!

It was BBQ night when I went

When I went it was BBQ night so I didnt have the option to have the vegan plate but there were still options. I had the grilled veggies and cheese with a side salad and rice. It was pretty good. The caipirinhas are excellent. I had a pineapple one!

Pros: Great location directly on the beach, Friendly staff

Cons: Expensive

one vegan option

There was one option but it was very tasty! Falafel, rice, vegetables and salad. It was quite pricey though at 50 reals.

Very nice location right on the beach

Vegan option

Nice beachfront location. There is one prato vegano - falafel, veg, salad and rice - a nice meal but a bit dry, the falafel really needs a sauce to accompany it. I'm guessing the napolitan pasta is vegan too.

Nice place!

I couldn't believe when I saw "Prato Vegano" on the menu! I loved this place, I loved eating on the beach and I loved eating something different from rice&vegetables or feijoada! It is 5/10 mins from Abraoo's main streets. Staff is nice and speaks english. Make sure you have a fresh juice ;)

Pros: Know what Vegan means, Table on the beach, Speak english

Cons: Not many choices
