No choice

Very disappointed the same (one)Vegan dish has been on the menu for ages.
It’s not street food just bland and boring.

Cons: A bit grubby , Not good for vegans

Very limited Vegan menu, more effort required

Nov 22, they have just issued a new menu, however there is only one vegan option and it does not sound very appetizing. For a South Indian restaurant this is a bit disappointing.

Cons: Limited options

Interesting Indian Food

Not a conventional Indian menu which I like as get to try different dishes. Only really one vegan main course though, although various vegan “street food” starters so could have had multiples of them instead. The aubergine pulilkulambu was delicious

Pros: Interesting menu, Aubergine curry was great

Cons: Not too much choice for vegans, No vegan naan!

Best Indian street food

Fantastic flavours and pleasing to the eye. Good variety of veggie and vegan options, especially considering small focussed design of the menu.

Seasonal, authentic Indian vegan food

Best curry in Salisbury. Their food is authentic, fresh and delicious rather than the super heavy, oily, fatty food you usually get in a British Indian restaurant. There is always at least one vegan main option on the menu and a few starters/small plates. Each main comes with rice and chutneys as standard. The menu is small but changes seasonally so unless you go a lot you won't eat the same thing twice. Everything I've eaten here is wholeheartedly delicious! The staff are friendly and the decor is beautiful too. They have a gorgeous looking garden which I've never had the chance to sit in before. Only downside is that it is very popular so you have to book in advance!

Pros: Authentic, delicious vegan food, Beautiful restaurant, Seasonal changing menu

Cons: It's popular - book in advance!

Boring

I came here with my parents. We were seated in the back room, which has awful acoustics. The menu was very restricted, just one vegan main, which was very bland, and had no protein.

The menu had a marking scheme for vegetarian (V), vegan (VG), dairy free (DF) and no gluten included (NGI) which was inconsistantly applied (needed to ask about the sides, after my parents pointed out more then daal, salad, and spring onions were prebably vegan... I overlooked initially, feeling a bit down by the 'absence of choice again' feeling). I don't think one can praise a menu for having items like 'vegan side salad' or 'vegan singular vegetable dish', those things are usually incidently vegan. THE daal is a mix of chickpea and mung bean based daal, I don't digest either well so avoided... I always look forward to a lentil dish so was disappointed...
There was a peanut masala sharing dish, very disappointing, a small amount of spiced nuts (so I had some protein I guess)

One of those restaurants that I leave feeling irritated, and my ears ached too

Pretty decor and staff were nice

Pros: Decor, nice waiting staff

Cons: Food, menu, atmosphere

Best in Salisbury

I’ve eaten here about 10 times, and their food is always great. They always have a vegan option (clearly labelled) for each course, usually more than one option.
They’re also happy to customise meals and adapt them - I recommend having a platter of poppadoms, starters and salad because the vegan starters are great.
They also do a masala dosa at lunch which is SFV and delicious.
