The vegan option was good, nothing special. But surprised they even had something so I was just very happy. Bit expensive for what it was but I wouldnt mind eating it again

Cute little cafe in the center of Hautvillers. This is a tiny village, so it may well be the only restaurant in town.
Read moreThe menu has one vegan option—it’s explicitly labeled as such. The dish consists of three small tomatoes stuffed with vegetables, according to the menu. It was actually more like a vegan meatball situation. It was a paste with rice, vegetables, and perhaps flour or something, but it was very good. Tasty and definitely home made. The dish comes with a small salad and fries (they are so good!) but you can order green beans instead. Portions are generous.
Overall, it was a lovely meal. The cafe is very cute and has a lovely terrace to eat on. It’s also probably the only traditional restaurant in the area with a vegan dish that is not salad, so I would definitely recommend stopping here.
