Cafe Dharma
Fair trade, organic cafe attached to yoga center. Many choices for vegans, but some dishes have egg and cheese. The menu doesn't mark the vegan items, but the staff are knowledgeable. Emphasis on quick light dishes, sandwiches, wraps, and cakes. Relaxed atmosphere with mix of sofas and tables.

Good healthy food - Edit
Had a fresh juice and some mezze; very nice fresh food and relaxed surroundings. Yummy food although portion could have been bigger. Good menu with lots of choice and vegan dishes clearly marked. Note no baby highhairs and the steps to get in, but not a problem. A yoga studio upstairs with classes running throughout the week and relaxation days; also does massage, indian head, reiki etc.
Pros: Excellent food, Good vegan choices
Cons: Not particularly baby friendly, Portions could be bigger

warm welcome and fresh tastes - Edit
A great addition to Southend! It's in a street just off the main shopping street that runs from Southend Victoria statuib to the pier - and well worth turning off for. You pass lots of carnivorous cafes and then you see the fairtrade coffee sign! You'll get a good welcome, and friendly, relaxed service of fresh and varied food. And very reasonable prices too.
Pros: location, freshness, welcoming staff
Cons: vegan dishes not marked
