Delicious food & good vibes

Had a quick lunch stop with coffee here after our hike and were not disappointed. They do charge extra for plant based milk (only oat available).
We had a banana loaf and fries, two flat whites with oat milk - delicious.
In the cafe they also have a little chop with local food & nicknacks.

Pros: Yummy food, Super super friendly staff, Clean and organised

Cons: Not too many vegan options , Extra charged for oat milk

Beautiful

Vegan options were limited, but I loved what I had. The ‘beans on toast’ were so tasty with the wild garlic pesto. Beautiful interior and surroundings. Worth the trip from Portree.

Lovely

Stopped here for coffee which was nice although the cups were small. Food looked really nice but we didn’t eat.

Pros: Smart building inside and out, Nice coffee, Great views

Cons: Small cups

One of the best meals I’ve had

I was pleasantly surprised when I found the vegan option served here could stand against fine dining options in any major city. The spice roasted cauliflower & baba ganoush with potato hash and (the surprising but delectable addition of) Highland redcurrants from the summer ‘23 menu was divine. The soup of the day made a nice accompaniment as well (carrot and roasted red pepper) along with fresh bread and vegan butter (upon request). Sounds like the soup is often vegan and gluten-free. The staff were so friendly, accommodating, and clearly deeply embedded in local community. Pick up an art map while you’re here, or some art from the shop itself which serves as a local gallery. Café Cùil is truly a hidden gem, well worth the trek from the main road. Oh! And we ordered blueberry vegan cake to go, which was also excellent! Did I mention they’re also dog friendly?

Pros: Amazing, high quality and unique meal, Friendly, knowledgeable staff, Sweet, local community-based setting

Surprising Café with awesome vegan choices

Even though they only have some vegan choices on the menu, these are clearly pointed out and simply delicious. You can find the current menu also on the website. They also offer take away food. We even had a vegan cake which was awesome as well.

Pros: Some delicious vegan choices , Plant based milk, Friendly staff
