Cozy snack stop - Edit
Had vegan pastel de nata and a savory empanada, and hot chocolate with soy milk (so rich and creamy). After hiking up to the castle in the rain, we were cold and starving so the pastries and warm chocolate were healing🥰

Nothing too fancy - Edit
We came here at the early afternoon and got Pasta del Nata & an Empanada, both vegan. Those two were the only two vegan options available. Both were good, but not extraordinary nice. The place itself is not soo cozy to sit down for longer. But the staff is very nice & helpful.

Good variety - Edit
I loved the options available. Glad I was able to try some of what they had available. Was slightly worried they would have sold of vegan options by the time I got there but they hadn't. Got there around 4 or 5pm and they hadn't run out. Glad to try the vegan pastel de nata. Favourite was the vegan empanada

Decent coffee, no pastries - Edit
I popped by late in the afternoon. There were no vegan pastries, but the owner indicated that there had been some earlier in the day. I ordered a coffee with oat milk; non-dairy milk costs an extra €0.50, bringing my coffee to nearly €3. It was tasty and well appreciated, but I wish I had a pastry to go with it. Note that the cafe is small, so seating is very limited.

World class Vegan Pastel de Nata - Edit
They had a number of vegan toasties on the board, but we had arrived a bit too late, and they’d sold out.

As my first taste of the famous treat, it was quite wonderful. A soft pastry, with some bite, and a vegan custard centre, with a surprising depth of flavour and intrigue. World class.
Pros: Vegan Pastel de Nata, Friendly staff , Vegan lunch options (be quick!)

good for snack & breakfast - Edit
It's a cute little café though sadly a bit crowded. I had an iced latte with almond milk and one of their savory pastries which I found really delicious. All the vegan options are easy to spot by the labels which is good! I agree with past comment that I really wish there were sweet vegan pastries too but four different savory pastries and a vegan toast are already a good way to go:) definitely a good option for every vegan visiting sintra who needs a small breakfast or snack, also very practical because it is right by the train station

Snack time 🌿 - Edit
After a long day of walking I had a snack at Ca-Fé Coffee House. The coffee house is close to the train station. They serve both sweet and savoury snacks and coffee with plantbased milk (almond). I tried the fahado de atum vegan and I had a vegan pastel de nata for the first time.

Delicious savory vegan pastries and coffee drinks! - Edit
They had 4 vegan savory options (so we got two of each!) and they also had vegan ham’n’cheez toasts. Also all their coffee drinks can be made with almond or oat milk. My favorite pastry was the Folhado De Atum Vegan, which was tomato-y and delicate & flakey. Only wish they had a sweet pastry option for vegans, but otherwise 10/10!
