Accidentally vegetarian cafe serving hot drinks, tea & coffee with a range of plant milks. Also available are home baked cakes, some of which are vegan, including vg cherry & chocolate, in addition to a vg muffin. Hot soup of the day is usually vegan. Also sells a selection of savory breads (check whether they are vegan on the day). It’s the only place in the village and pretty much for miles around. Open Thu-Fri 10:00-15:00, Sat-Sun 10:00-16:00. Closed Mon-Wed.

Lovely wee café (and seamstress) - Edit
Open year-round; Thursday to Sunday. Vegan soup and flapjack available. Decaf and oat milk available for coffees. A very nice setting with indoor and outdoor seating😄

Astonishing. A cafe in a medieval castle gatehouse that serves vegan cakes and coffee with plant milk options. The German themed schoko-kirsch cake was utterly delicious. We sat outside, rested the bikes against the wall of the castle gatehouse and enjoyed a coffee and cake in the sun. Quite an experience. The only cafe for miles around.
