Still they understand vegan pretty well and are ready to listen to special requirements.
Pros: They have Vegan options, Ready to make special requirements, Food is very delicious

Aesthetically Nice, but Expensive - Edit
Nice place but only cause of its murals and location. Take away that and it’s not that amazing. I expected more choice. And with burger places everywhere, that can convert to a vegan option, just felt the menu was lacking originality. But good on them for being a fully vegan restaurant in the area 🌱

Must visit when in Hikkaduwa - Edit
Nice café at the beach with a great vegan menu. Perfect for a healthy meal and if you feel like having something different than Sri Lankan Cuisine. Food is delicious and lovingly prepared. Make sure to try the Hula Burger. Very friendly staff.

We came here about 3 times as it was the first fully vegan place we’d seen in Sri Lanka. Is quite pricey compared to other places we’d been. The pad Thai and the Banh mi were delicious, the Buddha bowl was very nice but is quite spicy, smoothie bowls were good but wasn’t sure on the texture as it was almost foamy - the chocolate one is best😄staff are lovely!! They’d ran out of cheesecake so gave me a delicious cookie for free instead. Thanks 😘

The most delicious fresh vegan food! I had the Choco coco bowl for breakfast, so tasty and wholesome! It was also such a great atmosphere to eat in, amazing views and a beautifully decorated space! The best thing was the customer service! Will definitely return! Thank you to the lovely staff at Bodhi cafe!

Great vegan restaurant - Edit
... right at the beach of Hikkaduwa. We went there several times and had sandwiches, burgers, cookies and all sorts of beverages. Everything tasted great, the staff was nice and the location looks very comforting. If you're vegan (even if you are not) go there and enjoy your stay!

Great concept, poor execution. - Edit
If you have been to Bali you are in for a disappointment. The concept is your typical Bali vegan Cafe, but the food simply doesn't deliver. Although, the location is excellent with a great view of the surfers.
Read moreFirst time we came here they were unable to deliver many things on the menu (the fryer was broken and many things were out of stock). This could simply be addressed by offering substitutes when there was only single ingridients missing, or providing a discount for dishes lacking subsitute ingridients. However, no offer was made in this regard. The second time we came here it was not as bad but some things were out of stock this time as well.
The staff has some what of an nonchalant attitude and is not customer service oriented. The opposite of the staff at neighboring Salty Swamis.
We have been here twice now, to give it a second chance but we're not coming back. The drinks are bland and the food is expensive and tasteless. On top of this the portions are smaller than average despite its price.
I really want to like this place. Because it's completely vegan and the location is awesome. But it just doesn't cut it.
Pros: Location and concept.
Cons: Most other things.

My second home in Hikkaduwa. Good food (all vegan!), delicious drinks and chill vibes. I saw this café when walking around on my first day and didn't leave Hikkaduwa for three weeks. (acro)yoga, slacklining, meeting amazing people, meditating in the middle of everybody, it's all possible at Bodhi café.

This was an awesome experience! full of delicious raw pad Thai and burgers we couldn't be happier! The food and crew are top quality! Good music, epic location and serene energy. The food has attention to detail, is super fresh and nourishing. Also presented beautifully.
