Who would have thought to find this very nice, tiny Indonesian restaurant in Saarbrücken?!
Read moreIt’s a little bit outside the city center, but still close to the main shopping street.
Thanks to Happy Cow, otherwise I would not have found this delicious place.
The restaurant is small but has its charm with some nice decoration, which will make you feel like your are traveling a bit.
In addition, we were lucky to have a singer with her guitar coming over that evening for 30’ of nice and pleasant music vibes.
Regarding the food, I had to try the typically Rice table, which is a harmonious dining experience where sweet, sour, bitter and salty tastes are balanced temperatures and textures.
The plate with all the different small dishes was very tasty, especially the pan fried tempeh, fresh lemongrass and sate sauce.
I would definitely go back again and highly recommend to others!

One of my all time favourite restaurants in Saarbrücken. Food is always fresh and delicious, place is cozy and nice, staff is friendly. Sometimes it seems as they're a little overwhelmed and you may have to wait quite some time until you can order.

Very tasty food. Various interesting and authentic vegan main dishes. Actually half of the main dishes are fully vegan!! Also vegan starters. The vegan options are clearly marked. Home made tempeh, quality rise, great sauces, friendly staff. The decorations inside made it a great experience taking you out of Germany straight to Bali. Highly recomended to check out that place, but if you go on a Sunday its better to make a table reservation in advance.

Cosy place, friendly staff, nice atmosphere. Tasty Indonesian food, several vegan options identified in the menu. Gotta try their tofu sticks, and the sauce ..is delicious! At the end I tried the hot chocolate with coconut milk - it warmed my soul😄would come back to try the other vegan dishes.

Cafe Bali ist ein kleines balinesisches Restaurant mit einer kleinen Speisekarte. Vieles davon ist Vegan und es ist alles frisch. Dazu gibt es lecker Teesorten und tolle (auch viele alkoholfreie) Cocktails. Den hausgemachten Tofu kann ich nur weiterempfehlen.

Wir hatten eine Suppe und zwei Hauptgerichte und waren sehr zufrieden. Die veganen Gerichte sind gelabelt und die Mitarbeitenden, die auch sehr nett waren, wissen was vegan bedeutet.

The Cafe Bali is a very lovingly decorated. The atmosphere is very pleasant. The Indonesian cuisine is delicious, fresh.

Many vegan options - Edit
I´ve eaten out at Café Bali´s for several times and appreciate the numerous clearly labelled vegan options and their flexibility to make some vegetarian dishes vegan on request. My palate just needs to get used to the well-seasoned Indonesian dishes. The service has always been very accomodating. The interior design is extremely charming, with a love for detail.
