Good Airport Meal - Edit
The vegan curry option (¥1600) was clearly labeled and it took no time at all to get my takeout. I ended up buying a second portion for the plane ride home!

So happy to see a vegan option at the airport! - Edit
I was walking by and saw the vegan symbol on the soymeat curry dish. I paid ¥1500 for it. Price is a little high but it's an airport so that's expected. I thought it was pretty tasty. Very happy to see a vegan meal that's not just a salad haha.

One of the only vegan options in Narita Airport terminal 1 - Edit
As of Feb 2023, the food court in Narita Terminal 1 was still closed meaning that the 100% vegan T's TanTan is currently not an option for travelers.
Read moreWe found Cafe Avion only because we noticed a sign in the window advertising a vegan curry. It is not listed on their menu on the Narita airport website so most likely it is a new item.
The curry was good and the service lightning quick. With vegan options at NRT being extremely hard to come by, I was grateful to have something to eat before my flight. The cafe itself is nothing to write home about but does have nice views of the tarmac.
Pros: fast service, nice views
Cons: cafe decor is typical airport chic
