Leckere Gerichte in klassischer Bio-Atmosphäre - Edit
Es ist wohl das älteste vegetarische Restaurant/Cafè in Lübeck, dem einen gefällt die klassische Bioattitüde, dem anderen vielleicht weniger. Aber so oder so sind die Gerichte sehr lecker, viele vegetarische Gerichte auch in vegan erhältlich, netter Service und fantastischer Vönerteller :)

Die Location ist wirklich toll und sehr idyllisch. Es gibt einige vegane Gerichte, wir hatten Döner und Extrawurst. War beides ok lecker. Leider aber auch recht fettig und das Salatdressing war nicht ganz ausgewogen, extreme Säure, keine Balance.

Nice vegetarian restaurant with garden - Edit
A restaurant in Lübeck that I already know for a very long time. We like to stop by here every now and then because there is a great selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes. And the ingredients are all organic and regional. In summer, you can also sit outside. The only criticism: the portions aren't quite large enough to fill you up.

Wir haben kürzlich das Café Affenbrot besucht und hatten eine sehr positive Erfahrung. Der Vönerteller war besonders hervorzuheben und die Portionen waren großzügig bemessen, was für ein sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis sorgte.
Read moreEin besonderes Plus ist das breite Angebot an vegetarischen und veganen Gerichten. Die veganen Speisen sind sehr gut gekennzeichnet und es besteht die Möglichkeit, einige vegetarische Gerichte auch in veganer Form zu erhalten.
Bei dem schönen Wetter konnten wir in schöner Atmosphäre draußen. Das gesamte Angebot ist zudem Bio, was uns besonders gefreut hat.
Nicht zuletzt war das Personal äußerst aufmerksam und sehr freundlich, was den Aufenthalt noch angenehmer machte. Insgesamt können wir das Restaurant wärmstens empfehlen und freuen uns auf unseren nächsten Besuch.

We went there for breakfast and weren’t disappointed. The menu was well rounded and almost everything could be made veganised if you’d asked.

For my liking the drinks weren’t als variable in terms of non-coffee-ish, which is a bit of a downer. But all in all a nice option in Lübeck

Es gibt viele unterschiedliche vegane Mäglichkeiten. Wir hatten das rustikale Brot mit Hummus und die „Extrawurst“.

The cafe on the east side of the downtown island is nicely decorated with wooden furniture. We had burgers with really crusty bread. There was also ice cream. The waiter was nice and joked with us, but we started the jokes. It's nice that humans are still serving you and not robots.

We've been several times to Affenbrot as we live in Lübeck. The owner (?) is sometimes a bit grumpy and not that customer orientated (especially one day when I asked for tap water...) .
Read moreBUT one day we hat two small slugs in the salad on two seperate plates. One slug might happen, but two? I showed the first one to the waiter and he only joked that it's a sign of freshness. He didn't really care about the second one either. One of us still had some salat on the plate and didn't want to eat any more in fear that it has slugs in it. In the end we didn't get any discount or or even hear a real "sorry". It just felt like it's not a big thing to have slugs in the salad.😒
The wedges and currywurst are great, as they are served with a nice salad. The burgers are a bit too tall to eat and a bit too dry. The soups are quite good.
