Not as good as it used to be - Edit
Cafe 53 used to have quite a few decent options for vegans and were all quite filling but the last few times I have gone the selection seems to have shrunk and the only choices were modified versions of other dishes (although this is clearly indicated in the menu). The portion sizes seem quite small compared to the non-veg dishes for a similar price point.

The staff are all super friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and allergens in the dishes, and the venue itself is super cute! You even get a discount at their sister store next door when you visit (Domestic Science, which is amazing to buy homewares and vegan/low waste/cruelty free cosmetics).
Pros: Friendly staff and cute venue
Cons: Vegan options feel like an afterthought

Lovely little place with a pretty garden at the rear. Recommend Mushroom Ramen! - Edit
Vegan options were available and staff very helpful. Garden has a fountain which provides a nice tranquil setting to enjoy the food.

Vegan options - Edit
Nice selection of vegan options on the breakfast and lunch menu including vegan cake. However, portion sizes are very small and expensive. I thought the food was tasty but left still hungry. Staff were friendly and helpful.
