Super tasty options in an unlikely place - Edit
"I'm headed to the hospital... For lunch." That's what you hear locally, referencing Cafe 1007 inside the local community hospital. I love discovering the daily surprises on the grain bar, and the delicious salads bursting with non-traditional tubers and fruits. (Jicama mango salad - yum!) Daily vegan specials, salad bar, plenty of vegetable choices, sauté stations for a fresh, hot meal. Fresh baked whole grain breads and heart-healthy muffins. Quick, easy, clean, and comfortable.

This cafe is located inside IU Health La Porte Hospital. Great sauté bar, salad bar and grain bar in addition to grill and pizza bar. Lots of vegan choices. I had the sauté bar option with tofu and bulgur which is then saute'd with your choice of veggies and sauces. Ask for the vegan pan to sauté your meal. Cafeteria style with very reasonable price. Sauté bar was 5.95. Nice atmosphere.
