Do not order! "Vegan bluff"

Update 27.11:

We ordered through Nham24 something again, such as "Cabonara Pasta". The "meat " looked too real, we called them. The chef confirmed to us that it was MEAT. It is therefore a case of consumer deception vegan labeled with higher prices, but obviously real meat products.

The restaurant is located in the hotel "Mettavary" and includes a small pool. Atmosphere is great, but the room is a bit small. I ordered from there via Nham24 and was there in person as well. Cabana Urbana offers a wide variety of vegan dishes, mostly western. I like that because most of the vegan restaurants in the city don't offer much authentic western food. Here you can choose from an estimated 30 dishes. The service staff was very friendly and attentive, but we didn't get cold water. I don't want to be picky, but at these restaurant prices it would be appropriate and is actually common in the country. The food quality is quite well, it tastes good. The portion sizes are - "typically Asia" - rather small. People like me don't get full from one meal. The prices are quite high (my burger without fries was almost $15, but I got a 25% opening discount). All in all I will definitely come back to the restaurant sometime.

Important information for vegans and strict vegetarians: The restaurant has two names. Cabana Urbana suggests it's an 100% vegan restaurant. That's not entirely correct, because the same restaurant also calls itself "Mettavary Hotel Restaurant" and also offers meat and other animal products. The menu cards are separate and according to the employee vegan is "prepared separately", but in the same kitchen(!). So it is not vegan cuisine and I have to trust on the statement that my food did not come into contact with meat. Your neighbor at the table may eat meat. That doesn't bother me personally, but one or the other might see it differently.

Confirm before ordering

We were given the “vegan” menu, but enquired to be sure about an item that turned out to have egg in it. There may be some loss in translation occurring in regards to what constitutes a vegan ingredient. Staff are friendly, and drinks menu seems legitimately vegan.

Pros: Nice drinks, Friendly staff

Cons: Unclear if items are in fact vegan despite label

Wide selection of tasty dishes

The venue is nice, with three dining areas (ground floor café, indoor restaurant on the second floor, and rooftop terrace restaurant). Two of the restaurants have pools that can be used by customers.

Food is not cheap. Quality is good. Dishes are a bit small. I've enjoyed every dish I've had here. The lasagna was very tasty. They have nice desserts. 25% soft opening discount makes it less pricey, but still not cheap. They also have a full vegan drink menu.

This restaurant is listed as vegan but they actually have one vegan menu and one non-vegan menu. The listing should be corrected to reflect this (meals are prepared in the same kitchen).

Service is very friendly but food tends to be slow. I once made the mistake of having dinner with 7 or 8 friends and we felt older by the time we left, hours later.

All-in-all, a great addition to existing restaurants with vegan options in town. It's a memorable place to visit.

Pros: Wide selection, Swimming pool, Great desserts

Cons: Not fully vegan, Not cheap, Slow service
