Unique spot in Geneva countryside

I love this place. The natural setting is amazing, with the old stone house and trees. The cook's recipes are highly creative and tasty using mostly local fresh products. I usually go for the whole day over a chill weekend to have a reading and river walk retreat day. I always order all dishes to try over the day. It has homemade kombucha as well as a vegan plancetta of "dry meat" from various veggies.

Pros: Creativity, Very tasty, Beautiful location

Cons: Excentered location, Not cheap (but worth it)

Cuisine délicieuse et moderne dans un cadre magnifique

Nous avons mangé en famille il y a quelques jours. La cuisine est à la fois simple et raffinée. On y retournera!

Fantastic peaceful experience in nature

I came initially for a free visit with my kids along the Allondon on a sunny Sunday and discovered the Buvette. I knew the traditionnal restaurant before and I am so happy that Pro Natura reopened the place with a veggie concept. The menu is fresh and local and the staff gives some tips for discovering the nature around. Pro Natura organizes a lot of ateliers, free guided tours on Sundays, etc. I will definitely come back, including with friends visiting from abroad!

Nature preservation & good food !

This humble Pro Natura buvette is serving delicious "Fait Maison" veggie food with a lot of Vegan creations too.

The Nature Centre is questioning food issues from production to waste management.

The chief and his team are following the seasons to cook local recipes.

The place is great, the plates are amazing !

Happy to support this NGO.

Pros: Fresh food, Nice team , What a nature spot!

Cons: Some noisy neighbors sometimes

A peaceful spot in the middle of nature

This is a charming restaurant in the middle of a natural centre (Pro Natura), a nice cycle (or bus trip) away from Geneva and definitely worth visiting on a sunny weekend after a walk around the forest. The place itself is really peaceful, the prices are very reasonable and the menu is really innovative. The menu is largely vegan, changes seasonally (almost twice a month) to use mainly local products and often incorporating wild plants from the region.

I find the menu really innovative and really love their focus on sustainable cuisine; however there are traditional vegeterian elements like cheese plate (I sympathise that it's hard to get rid of in the Swiss context). I've had a wild garlic risotto earlier in the spring and it came with wild garlic flowers and was really filling. Recently, they had vegan 'charcuterie' done with fermented celery, smoked and inoculated in koji which was really a piece of art. Wild tapas offer they had back in June was also really tasty and included kimchi, potatoes with wild plants, beetroot pickles and was very appetizing. Amongst the sweet things, the stawberry pancakes were a star. I also appreciate the wine (there are organic ones!) and beer offered with the menu, once again from local wineries and breweries around the region.

I look forward to seeing the menu become more vegan, which would be my main point of improvement. Overall really beautiful, serenic space for a delicious pause surrounded by nature. 🌿

Pros: Very aesthetic presentation, Beautiful, serenic spot

Cons: Should be more vegan!
