Nice and fresh

Lovely place and kind waiters. Not many options for vegan lunches, but I ordered the vegan poke and it was tasty! The coffee is great and there are four types of vegan milk!

Pros: Food

Cons: I asked for lemonade but they gave me a sprite 😂

Seems to have changed

Had no vegan cakes at all, and only one option which was avocado on toast, and who knows if there was butter on the bread... was cut so thin and was quite stale bread too. One plus they did have a few plant milks, including oat. But that was all. The coffee was cold, even the lattes with milk my family got was cold. Pretty disappointed actually.

Great place to stop for a coffee

I’ve never eaten there but I’m not a big fan of avocado toasts (for their humongous water consumption, they can’t be found in France, Spain is the closest country to produce them and avocados have, like all veggies & fruits, à SEASON they donc magically grow all year round), but we’ve had the apple pie and the almond cake they make for vegans. The almond cake is my favorite, it’s like a big moist financier. The apple pie is a bit dry to me and isn’t how I personally like it.
The great thing there is that they DON’T charge extra for non dairy milk. Every place I’ve been to, if it’s not entirely vegan, they charge an extra 50cents for non dairy milk. It’s so great to have a place that has non dairy milk (hard to find in France in cities other than Paris) and they don’t charge??? That’s a big yes to me, I go there everytime I’m in Saumur!
They also have good smoothies and milkshakes, as well as orange juice.

Good coffee but nothing else was vegan

Nice café with all the plant milk options for drinks. However, when I stopped by, despite a very wide assortment of baked goods and desserts at the counter, not a single one was vegan. I asked and it seems they do make vegan desserts, but apparently not regularly. Disappointing.
Coffee was better than most, but I was really hoping to have more than just coffee.

Pros: Good coffee

Cons: Lacking vegan options

Classic

The vegan savoury section is reduced to a basic avocado toast.

On the sweet side the almond cake is a kind of financier : really tasty. On the other hand the apple pie is dry and a bit taste less.

No extra charge for oat milk.

Pros: Cosy place, No extra charge for oat milk, Friendly staff

Cons: Expensive for what it is, Choice is really reduced, Basic offer

PLANT MILK! Vegan cakes and brunch

Finally somewhere in Saumur offering plant milk, and 3 types! Good coffee too.
Also has toys so kids can play at the back while parents relax. WC on ground floor.
On my last visit I noticed the reading material provided - books of vegan baking and zero dechet (zero waste). Yay! I also noticed they've added two cakes to the menu (before only avocado toast was vegan). Now there's vegan almond cake and apple pie. Will have to try those next time. They make all their own food, including cakes and try and use as much local produce as they can.
Clean and nice Melbourne kind of style.

Pros: Nice atmosphere, Friendly helpful staff (with English), Homemade food

Cons: not the cheapest but quality, Modern style, not old-world French cafe
