I had the vegan sausage roll and it was very tasty! They only had those in the afternoon so i recommend going a bit earlier for more options :))

I had the apple danish and it was very yummy. Possibly the best I've had. The place isn't vegan friendly, but the branch in the carpark by the Tourist Information is just a little corner place and you can keep your dog in site while shopping.

Delicious vegan sweet and savory options - Edit
We went to the Castle Cary location. We stopped in to get a whole-meal bread, and they have a great spelt one that you can get sliced. For savory pasty we also got a vegan sausage roll and vegan Glastonbury pasty, which was my favorite and I recommend! When we asked about the sweet options they had a couple which were not marked specifically as vegan but were! We tried the ‘flapjack’ (which was similar to a homemade granola bar in the U.S.) and it was excellent. We plan on going back to try the other one. It sounded like they have different things on different days, but if you know you want a certain bread you can order it for the next day.

They had a couple vegan items when I was there but said they generally had more. The local pastry I had was very good. The vegan and gluten free items are marked.
