Spectacular vegan burgers! - Edit

I had a vegan dinner for one at Burgerlijk tonight and chose for the seaweed tofu burger which was spectacular. The green color of the bun ( with matcha tea), the avocado, the wasabi mayonnaise and of course the Bombay seaweed and the soybean patty made a great combination with a full, somewhat "fermented" taste.

Pros: Great location and interior, Friendly staff, Busy, booming restaurant

Friday Night Visit - Edit

We dropped by after reading the reviews on here. It was busy at 7:30pm and we had to wait over half an hour for a table for four, but we had a drink at the bar while we waited. The staff were really friendly and the atmosphere and decor were great...We had the tempeh burger and fries with homemade tomato sauce, and our non vegan friend had a seafood burger. The food was really tasty, but quite hot and spicy so be warned!

best vegan burgers in town! - Edit

This places serves meat, but has 2 veggie options on the menu.
After hearing we are vegan, she told us it was very easy to turn those veggie options in to vegan options.
We both had the tempeh gado gado burger and it was amazing.

Ps. The rest of the reviews say they have a soy and a portobello burger, but they have since updated the menu. The now have a tempeh gado gado burger and a seaweed and wasabi burger (if I remember correctly).

The only negative I can think of is that the tempeh burger was quite spicy.

Pros: great food!, knowledgeable staff

Cons: the food was quite spicy

Delicious! - Edit

As the only vegetarian/vegan (I try to stay away from dairy as much as possible) in the household, this place was really great because of the vegan and meat options. I had a tempeh burger and it was really yummy! They also had a vegan seaweed type burger. The service was good and the restaurant was very nicely decorated. All in all we ate delicious ( you do need to pay for extra fries) for a reasonable price!

Pros: friendly staff

Cons: none!

Awesome! - Edit

We went on a Saturday evening and it was absolutely buzzing with activity! Great atmosphere with very friendly and efficient service. Husband and I both had the tofu burger, which was out of this world! The quality of the dishes were top-notch so this place is highly recommended!

Pros: Food, Atmosphere, Service

High-quality vegan burgers, definitely worth it! - Edit

Burgerlijk is a hip restaurant with an amazing atmosphere, which makes it a really pleasant place to enter into. It is excellent to go with friends, family, the special someone, or just on your own – if you just manage to find a free seat. The place unfortunately does not take reservations and is usually always full (especially in the evening at dinner time).

I have visited Burgerlijk two times (within one week, which tells just enough about the quality!). The tofu burger, which was the first dish I tried there, ranked as my personal favorite – the crunchy tofu patty was seasoned really well and it was a thick, but moist and tasty serving. Seaweed (wakame) burger was good as well, if you like the strong taste of wakame – it was in a great balance with the patty formed of soy crunch I believe (crunchy outside, moist and juicy inside), avocado, vegetables and vegan mayo.

Although vegetarian on the menu, remember to ask for a vegan portion!

Pros: Taste, Atmosphere, Staff

Cons: Only two vegan burgers, Nothing soy-free
