10/10, always

I've been a fan of BL since they opened. Always plentiful veggie options, now all burgers can be adapted to be either veg or vegan with their house-made patties (my fav) or the tofu option. My order (every time) is the smokey, vegetarian, (no BBQ sauce), lots of crispy onions) and always fat fries. Highly recommend Burger Liquor for an affordable, filling and fun night out!

Tasty

I forgot to take a photo of the food but it was really good I had the fries with vegan aoli and the ‘beef’ burger. The boozy milkshake was really good but i couldn’t finish it.

Pros: Friendly staff, Choice

Delicious and enjoyable

The waitress knew which menu items were able to be fully vegan, and which could only be vegetarian.
I had the double standard, and the patty was beautifully cooked, better than any other vegan burger that I've had. It was soft and really tasty.
My favourite thing was that the shakes could be vegan, which made me so happy!

Pros: Shakes, Friendly staff, Huge portions

Disappointing

Have been before but vegan options seemed less impressive than in past.

They claim to make every burger vegan but in reality they are poor substitutes. I got a chicken burger and the meat substitute was just fried (and undercooked) cauliflower. Underwhelming and not as advertised on the menu.

Was told after it arrived they couldn't add the Buffalo sauce - should probably have clocked that normally has butter but they shouldn't advertise anything vegan if a central part of a burger cant be, and should say when you order.

My Buffalo dill chicken burger ended up just being undercooked cauliflower and mayonnaise. It was OK but nothing to go back for.

Better burgers elsewhere

We tried the Bernie (double patty ‘special sauce’ onions cheese) and the Schnitz (chickn pickles lettuce mayo) and were disappointed with both. The special sauce was just the flavourless mayo -too much of it. The beef replacement burger was a flavourless beetroot bean burger. Huge chucks of unmelted angel cheese too. The chicken burger was better but again drowned in the flavourless mayo. Overall considering the price $23 for the Bernie burger only (the chips were good but a add on) compared to the dead animal burgers we saw the vegan options seemed greasy, flavourless and lazy. Very disappointed with the mayo and unmelted cheese (buy the brand at home it melts well!)

Pros: Lots of vegan options , Friendly staff, Cool location

Cons: Expensive , Flavourless and greasy , Serves meat
