WOW!!!!!!!!!!! 🤯 I’m almost speechless after this meal. I googled vegan Italian Beef in Chicago, and Buona Streeterville was the first thing to come up! Man! They absolutely nailed it!!!! I can’t even describe how good this was!!!!

Tried it when it was temporary last year and happy it’s permanently on menu. Now they offer vegan cheese and it’s very juicy. Friend noticed her combo was dry and seemed to be curious of mine so I let her taste a piece. I like that they added the vegan cheese although I couldn’t taste anything! I love the hot giardiniera so maybe that’s why. I’ve missed Italian beefs since going vegan so am feliz for this option from uptons products!

The only vegan options are: Italian beef bowl, Italian beef sandwich, and fries (they told me they fry them in soybean oil). The sandwich was good — didn’t feel too greasy and the mild peppers were actually mild. I got the vegan cheese on my sandwich and it was… okay, but wasn’t melted at all.

the vegan italian beef is a masterpiece & i hope it always remains on the menu! good right away or reheated, plain enough alone for picky eaters or perfected with hot peppers (as it should be). they just added vegan cheese as an add-on but I have yet to try it. the cost compares pretty closely to other fast casual sandwiches like JJ, so it’s a great way to occasionally skip cooking with less of the usual vegan tax.

Listen… I’m SHOCKED by how delicious this vegan Italian beefless sandwich was! I honestly came in with very low expectations and was blown away. The sandwich was packed with well-flavored vegan seitan and the bread was just incredible. If you’re ordering takeaway be sure to eat your sandwich timely, as the it is covered in wet ingredients and can become soggy quickly. It still tastes delicious, regardless!

The vegan Italian beef sandwich is very good and flavorful! It is their only vegan option so it is not ideal if you are looking for variety but if you want a vegan Italian beef this is a great spot to get one!
