Will make you sick, but it might taste good. - Edit
Decent amount of options. But super heavy on the fats and sugars. This place has the perfect blend to kill a diabetic or make you gain some weight. I enjoyed the food options but the drink treats were too much. They tasted like drinking cake frosting. I only made it a couple sips in before I ended up wasting it...
Read moreYeah, I know this a junk food place. But I have been to a fee that were still a lot cleaner for your body. This type of place is not my preferred.

With Covid-19, we haven't eaten in many restaurants the past year, but we made a special trip (drove about an hour) to try The Bumbling Bee. It was super worth it, and we will do it again.

Great Expensive Milkshakes, everything else not so much: UPDATE - Edit
Ok so ordered two milkshakes, a burger with the black bean pumpkin patty, and a sausage sandwich with the beyond sausage. First the milkshakes. My order is called and some random chick who apparently was waiting for a strawberry shake grabs mine so now I have to wait longer. Then after we had ordered a couple came in sat down, read the menu, then ordered. They still got their food before us. Then I got my burger. It was crunchy because it was overcooked the whole bottom of it black. Honestly, the milkshakes were the only good thing and those were expensive. Will not be going back and do not recommend. Meta burger is better
Read moreUPDATE: Since my first time trying them last year I decided to give them a second chance. Did not get a burger this time, we got the Chikin Gyro and the Mother Clucker both were really delicious. The poutine was also delicious. Didn’t dine in so not sure if that’s improved or not, but I would definitely get the chickin stuff again.

Had too high of expectations - Edit
I was so excited to try this place after seeing the reviews and photos on happy cow! Unfortunately the flavors of most items just didn’t hit the spot.
Read moreWe got the classic burger and chicken bacon ranch. Textures were great and great portion sizes, just not really much flavor. We got the Mac and cheese balls which I LOVED but my husband didn’t. We both got onion rings and are convinced there are no onions inside the breading... we had to ask the waitress how they were made to confirm (seemed like it was bread battered in an O shape...).
The milkshake (chocolate PB) was prob the best vegan version I’ve ever had!
Covid protocols in place which is awesome but everything was too pricey for the quality we got :(
Pros: All 100% vegan, More sustainable packaging (than others), Good portion sizes
Cons: A little tasteless, Pricey

I just went there for the first time recently, both my non-vegan mom and I absolutely loved it. The chicken patties, onion rings, and shakes were all delicious. The staff was very friendly. Overall a great experience!

Get the GYRO - Edit
The chickun gyro is incredible, one of my the best things I have ever eaten! It is quiet a drive from where I live but so worth it. The staff is really nice and helpful and the whole menu is vegan! It also has a really fun décor but indoor seating fills up quickly so I normally get things to-go.

Everything is really good... - Edit
I have only been here once so take this review with a grain of salt. I had the motherclucker with a side of mac and cheese. I would say this was definitely a contender for the best vegan mac that I have ever had. The burger was big and tasted fairly original despite being a pretty basic chicken burger. I did not try the shakes but I have been told that they taste like soy (by someone who hates the taste of soy like none else) but I suspect as long as you are not quite on her level of soy hate they taste great.
Read moreThe biggest con of this place is the prices. It feels like I am paying for a food truck. I spent around 15 dollars for that one burger with the included side (I may have payed extra for a premium side. Not sure) If these burgers came in around 10 dollars they would be able to compete better with Native (but I do think that the food is a little better then Native)
Pros: Fast, Delicious
Cons: Expensive

Three stars for being vegan. - Edit
I've been to quite a few vegan restaurants of this style (burger joint/diner food) around the country and this was my least favorite. I had the mac and cheese, chili fries, and a barbecue burger. The mac and cheese tasted like it came from a box/bland, The chili cheese fries which were $12 dollars were small and the chili wasn't good, and there was hardly any cheese sauce on them. The burger was decent, but again nothing to write home about. It's unfortunate that with Native Foods right down the road I think this place would want to step its game up as the menu is very similar.

A decent place - Edit
Compared to other 100% vegan restaurants, it’s not my favorite. It’s pricier than others and has a more limited menu. The food wasn’t bad, but it also wasn’t amazing enough to make me want to pay the high price again. We’ve been a couple times and tried nachos and milkshakes.

Yup, its vegan junk food - Edit
We dined on opening weekend. Order at the counter and they yell out your name when your order is up. It was busy. Had to wait a little to snag a table. My husband enjoyed his Chickun Bacun Ranch. He said it was similar to Natives. My Holy shitake with the Beyond burger was sloppy goodness. Upon first bite into bun the gravy exploded to the surface. Other than needing a number of napkins, the burger was satisfying. I got the mac & cheese as my side. It has an adult taste of overpowering oregano. Some may like that, but I prefer a more simple cheeziness. Looking forward to trying everything on the menu.
