Vegans can choose from the "Šviežių kopūstų salotos su aliejumi" (fresh cabbage salad with oil), cepelinai "sveikuolių“ ("healthy" cepelini), bulviniai dubenėliai (potato bowls), beet salad and fruit-based drinks. Open Mon-Sat 09:00-17:00, Sun 10:00-16:00.

Simple, but filling fare!

I was told that this was the local favorite for workers and students due to the hearty offerings and low prices. My husband and his friend grew up eating here and we decided to visit after hearing that there would be something vegan friendly for me. They actually had 4 vegan friendly items listed on the posted menu. The server was knowledgeable enough when hearing the Lithuanian word for vegan that she told us I couldn't have their carrot salad because it contained mayonnaise. The cepelini are very hearty dumplings and tasty. They were salty and filling. The salads were a nice refreshing contrast to the warm potato dishes. For the price and how filling it is, I am happy to return to this eatery as an alternative to the other restaurant I have visited here.

They do not speak English here nor do they have any English on their menu (very local eatery!). However, a translation app can be helpful if you do not have access to someone who speaks Lithuanian. It is very much cafeteria-style: you pick up a tray and slide it down with you as they give you your choices on separate plates. You return the trays and the used dishes and utensils to the window to the right of the cash register. The server did mention that they don't always have the "healthy" cepelini option available due to demand, but they welcome you to call in before hand so you can check if it's available. I guess I was lucky they had it for me! The smaller Bulviniai dubenėliai (Potato Bowls) and salads are always available. (Came in on a Saturday around noon.)

Pros: Price, Well-lit eating area and very clean, Friendly staff-they even had old school uniforms!
