Good options but bulk items are pricier than prepackaged - Edit
I try and shop zero waste as much as possible so I started going to bulk barn in an effort to reduce plastic packaging. There are a ton of options here for just about everything. That being said, a lot of food items are more expensive when purchased from the bulk bins rather than buying already packaged elsewhere.
Read moreBulk Barn fairly recently started allowing customers to bring their own containers which is when I started going more often. However, make sure you watch closely when staff are weighing your jars, and taring the scale. They aren’t always trained properly in how to do it, and you can end up paying for the price of your jar.
Pros: Variety of bulk options
Cons: Some items pricier than prepackaged , Staff don’t know how to tare the scale
