The food at Buddy is amazing. My partner and I had fantastic mains (Buddha bowl and carbonara) and lovely desserts (tiramisu and cheesecake). The house wine was also nice.
Read moreOur only complaint was the service. We were in early, with only one other table. Yet, the server didn't say more than a couple words to us all night and was scowling/unpleasant throughout. After we finished our mains, we waited for almost 30 minutes before our plates were cleared away and another 20 minutes before we finally managed to get his attention to order dessert.
Hopefully, this was a one off but we won't be coming back. Slightly spoiled our evening.

Buddy Veggy gave me the best vegan experience on the 1st day in Rome. The location is easily accessible and located at the corner of intersection where people can see. Foods were very tasty, generous amount, simple plating, affordable price. The owner is a vegan and all the staffs were friendly and nice to answer some questions. Whenever we go, it was full house. Animal friendly too. I will definitely come back during my trip in Rome!

Good location for a vegan lunch while sightseeing - Edit
The world should have more restaurants like Buddy Veggy. It’s not fine dining and they don’t make all the ingredients from scratch in-house. For example the pizzas use delicious fresh house-made dough but commercially available brands of vegan cheese. I would go back to Buddy because it’s affordable, quick, convenient, and most importantly vegan!

Buddy Veggy (a vegan tourist trap) - Edit
This is essentially a vegan tourist trap and it’s very overhyped on HappyCow. I found the food and drinks very underwhelming. The vegan breakfast was not my favorite and it was very expensive at 16€ for this dish. The tofu scramble seemed like it was made with oil and turmeric only. The beans were not good at all. There was brown lettuce mixed in the salad and the dressing was too lemony, but the slices of avocado were fine. The oat cappuccino was my least favorite in Rome, the flavor was bad and it didn’t even taste like coffee (and it was 4.50€, which was offensive). Worst yet, they didn’t bring this drink until we were paying/leaving, so we had to take it in a takeaway-cup despite telling them we didn’t want it anymore since it was meant to be consumed with our breakfast. Nevertheless, when they gave us the drink it was already cold.
