Indonesian veggie curry

The curry was great, really hearty and filling. Very limited vegan options though and only take out at the moment. Decent for a small town like Kalbarri.

Buddha’s bites with a motto of “crazy good food!” sounded promising but manage your expectations...

I was very excited with the prospect of vegan mayo/sriracha which I took as an excellent sign of being accommodating to vegans. However when I arrived their advertised menu was limited to a few options with the vegan ones removed. They did make an exception for me and offered the Thai red curry (without chicken) as a vegan option and that was ok. I also had the beer battered cauliflower which I was most looking forward to. Those were inedible. Luckily I specified I wanted the vegan mayo as despite it being written on the menu, it is not a given.

But with very limited choices in Kalbarri... could be worth someone having another try...

Pros: Takeaway or dine in (BYO), Red curry was tasty with big crunchy broccoli

Cons: Advertised menu not available , Overly greasy, Expensive for the quality of the food
