A Delight!

Springfield needed this spot 💚 Great, extensive menu with the addition of the pastries, ice cream, and daily specials. Both meals I had were delicious. Pastries were soft and flaky, perfectly sweet. Very impressed, highly recommend! Great prices for portions received.

Pros: Pastries, Coffee, Brunch, Ice Cream, Daily specials , Prices

Cons: Limited seating

Glad I stopped!

I found this place passing through Springfield and it was the perfect stop for breakfast. I LOVED the breakfast sandwich with tofu egg, but they also have Just Egg if that's more your thing. The breakfast potatoes were perfect too!

Update October 2024 - the cheese quesadilla thing was sooo good too!! 😍 Amazing

Pros: Great food

Cons: Happened to be out of coffee ice cubes that day

Best brunch!

A def stop anytime in Springfield. Biscuits & gravy were as good as my grandma used to make! Breakfast croissant was also super good, but next time I would get Just Egg instead of tofu. Coffee was awesome. Sorry no photos as we devoured it!

Pros: 100% vegan!, GF options

Cons: Wish they were open later!

Fantastic gem, a must stop if in town

I stop in here every time I have a trip to Springfield and have some brunch and buy some amazing baked goods to share with my crew. I always leave satiated and happy, and the crew (who often aren't vegan) always love the pastries I bring them. So far I've fed 9 crew members from here and all 9 have loved it!

I really love that they have a "buy a meal" board for helping out the less fortunate in the area - a great way for someone who's hungry to come in and get a tasty meal. The location is in a really cool part of town to walk around in, and the staff is super friendly!

Oh, and the coffee drinks? Best coffee this side of the Mississippi, seriously. I travel a lot, so I know!

Pros: Everything is super tasty , Great decor, Reasonable prices

Exceeded my high expectations

The coffee was delicious and their homemade whipped cream was unlike any vegan whipped cream I’ve ever had- so decadent. Their cashew chicken was delicious, with very crispy chicken, very savory. The Big Mac was the best vegan burger my partner has ever had, and given that they’ve been eating vegan burgers for 10 years I’d say that’s a big compliment.

Pros: Coffee and desserts , Fantastic mock meat, Punch card for free pastry

Pretty good!

I really liked my sandwich and my hot chocolate. Super friendly staff and fun atmosphere. I only gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because the hash brown that came with my sandwich wasn't very good.

If you go again, try the breakfast potatoes instead. Splurge on a side of queso too 🤌 that's the way to do it!

Such a satisfying breakfast with slow service

Had the griddle cake egg and cheese breakfast sandwich with sausage. Thick and savory and perfect for dipping in maple syrup. Would get 5 stars except that it took at least 30 minutes to get our food, and they didn’t seem very busy. Also had a danish which was to die for!

Pros: Satisfying breakfast, Different egg options, Wonderful pastries

Cons: Slow service

ALL VEGAN GOODIES

Since they had first opened inside of their home as a once-a-week Wednesday morning special, I have been so excited seeing them grow into the business they are today. Every pastry here is a delight and I enjoy the savory breakfast options as well. It's also nice to have coffee that has drizzles and whipped cream on it, a commodity us vegans never get at other coffee places! I have to say, my favorite item is either the biscuit sandwich with tofu egg and rice paper bakon, or the breakfast tacos. Can't go wrong with either.

Pros: Friendly staff, Nice vibe

Cons: Parking

Vegan Breakfast

We had a great experience at Brunch Box; everything from the staff to the food was top notch. The person taking our order was patient and answered all of our questions and offered recommendations. All of the food we tried was great but our favorite thing ordered was the breakfast burrito-it was incredible! I don't think you can go wrong at Brunch Box.

Pros: Good options , Friendly Staff , Great food

Yummy with a bonus!

The employees were very welcoming and friendly. The food was prepared quickly and it was delicious. We had a cinnamon bun, a muffin, plain biscuit, a breakfast biscuit sandwich, side of potatoes, and the breakfast tacos. The biscuits were nice and fluffy. The cinnamon bun was big and baked to perfection and the muffin was very flavorful. The surprise was that the restaurant also had an ice cream shop called Sweet Emotions that opened at 2:00. So we happened to time it just right and got 2 fantastic milk shakes! Unfortunately we only got a few pictures because we were so hungry.

So Many Incredible Breakfast Options!

In a town with only a handful of vegan breakfast options (which is mostly avocado toast), what a TREAT to have a dedicated vegan breakfast spot! I’ve tried nearly everything on the menu, and you really can’t go wrong with any of it.

Highlights for me:
*The fresh biscuits and gravy are the ultimate comfort food. A every time. The biscuits are tender and the gravy is always the perfect consistency. So tasty.
*The breakfast sandwiches are amazing, bc there are so many ways to switch them up. Tofu egg or Just Egg? House made bacon or sausage? Croissant, toast, English muffin, griddle cake, or ciabatta? You get it. It’s hard to get bored.
*The breakfast quesadilla and the queso on the side- WOW. Talk about a filling and delicious breakfast! I usually save this one for mornings where I’m extra hungry bc it’s so delicious that I will finish it no matter how full I am. When I’m feeling this but need a little less food, I opt for the lighter, but just as tasty, breakfast tacos. Sometimes I still request that side of queso. 😏

I’m mainly a savory breakfast person, but I equally love the sweet pastries. The danish and muffins are both favorites in our house. Also, keep an eye out for the specialty savory pastries like spinach puffs and giant pizza rolls (like a cinnamon roll, but pizza). Both reheat well if you need to take one to go.

I’m definitely looking forward to when this new business can expand their hours even more, but for now I will continue to get excited for Fri-Sun brunch.

Favorite Springfield Vegan Spot!!

The food was INCREDIBLE!! I just love that this place is FULLY vegan and i can eat literally anything on their menu. We’ve been a few times, here are my thoughts!

My favorite dishes that I’ve tried so far:
-Griddle Cakes Platter. A vegan take on the McGriddle, I got it w/ a hash brown patty! You can get it just the sandwich or with breakfast potatoes if you’re not a hash brown person, both are equally delish.
-Yeast Donuts. Oh. My. God. Dude. One of the best yeast donuts I’ve ever had!!
-English Muffin Egg, Cheese, Sausage is my second fav breakfast sandwich.
-Quesadillas and tacos are amazing, ESPECIALLY the queso that comes with them. I could probably just drink the queso it’s so good lol.
Really once you see the pastry case you’ll wanna take one of everything home.

Favorite drinks are the Powerpuff girls latte (agave & cinnamon), and the Wallace & Gromit (London fog).

The staff is super knowledgeable and friendly. I have dietary restrictions and they are happy to confirm ingredients, make adjustments if able, and are just REALLY accommodating compared to other vegan restaurants.

Place is super clean, very chill vibe. It’s a weekly spot for us now, and we are so happy to have Brunch Box and their staff in Springfield!!!

Pros: FULLY VEGAN MENU :D, Pastry case to die for, Friendly & accommodating

Ran out of everything!

We will try to come back but brought our kids here because they were super hungry after a long morning of walking trails and we’re excited to try their vegan burritos and quesadillas, when we got there they told us they were out of pretty much everything except their tacos which were not really kid items. We ended up getting muffins which are sweet and very tasty but not the healthiest of options. I wish they had some salads and/or bowls at least. They also turn into the ice-cream shop at 2 PM but it’s petty bureaucratic that you cannot get those items until late in the afternoon, but maybe they are two separate entities sharing a space which is all I can think of. I did like the muffins and found them tasty, but really was hoping to get a vegan brunch for my kids and had been waiting an entire week to take them here, not thinking they would be down to one item. They were super nice though and I give them a 5 star for friendliness of the staff and cleanliness of the place. I will hopefully get to change my review if I come back when they have more items!

Pros: All vegan , Friendly staff , Vegan treats

Cons: Very limited selection , Menu restricted to time of day , Need healthier options for vegans

Kids love our taco! You should have given them a try. But only being out of 2 of the dozens of items we carry 45 minutes before close doesn’t really seem that surprising. We also had avail 6 different kinds of breakfast sandwiches, also kid friendly. We don’t have salads or bowls because we are a breakfast cafe, but we do have fruit cups and chia pudding bowls, both of which were available this morning. And our muffins are pretty healthy since they’re vegan and made with real blueberries. Sweet Emotion is indeed a separate business that operates in the space after breakfast hours.

It is pretty customary for restaurants to serve all items until they close- especially with limited hours, I have not been to one that doesn’t, unless it is strictly a coffee shop out of pastries etc. In general, muffins are considered a pastry still, unless a veggie muffin. We have been to vegan restaurants all over the world with our family, and are eager to get some options in this area. I would recommend keeping all menu items available until close. It is entirely up to you, as the restaurant owner, but having reviewed places in 13 countries, we were just trying to give some solid advice that other vegans would prefer because we want to support vegan restaurants in the area coming and staying- sadly if you look at my reviews below there are some amazing places that are now “permanently closed,” over the last few years because this industry is tough- and even more so in the Midwest, and with highly restricted populations, like vegan. Since a lot of people don’t live downtown that can be a long drive to not get the items you want to try, but it is entirely up to you. As stated we were eager to try everything, and as an Ambassador that is what I typically do, with our party- but Kids like very simple dishes to try. We hope more vegan restaurants will come soon and are advocating even more to get a raw food one soon. People are typically also vegan for health reasons though, so that was the only reason we recommended having one fresh breakfast bowl, soup, or salad on the menu.
We do wish you the best and are bigger advocate for local businesses.
We assumed the ice-cream shop was separate which is why we mentioned that may be the case.
We did not mean to offend and give honest feedback to our reviewers we hope will help companies hear from their customers and what they want since we have a strong basis of comparison.
You have a great set-up, friendly staff, good prices! As stated we hope to come back and try everything so we can change our review.

Wonderful

I was so excited to see there is another vegan restaurant in Springfield when I took my daughter back to school. Only open for breakfast and lunch but it is fabulous. I had the biscuits and gravy, my daughter had the burrito. We also got a couple donuts to go and they were delicious!

Pros: Delicious , Good prices , Decor

Best vegan breakfast in town

One of disclaimer, unless I got a fluke, they have no clue how to make biscuits. Everything else is amazing. The burritos are so damn good.
