Serves meat, vegan options available. Healthy food plus coffee and cakes. Vegan include chia puddings, lunch options, raw vegan cakes/slices, and vegan french toast. Reported closed December 2022.
Nice little spot with super friendly staff and tasty food. Not a huge amount of vegan options but the quality of them makes up for it. I always visit when around this area.
I have loved Brother Bear ever since it opened in Mt Barker. It is my go to place to get delicious vegan food and coffee. They have a massive range of vegan cakes and savoury options in their fridge, including ready to go vegan lunch packs. They also have ots of yummy breakfast and lunch options and vegan drinks/smoothies. They are very eco conscious, having ditched single use take away cups and encouraging you to bring your own cup. They also have cups you can borrow, including the Green Caffeen program, if you forget your cup. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and it is just an overall great place to eat.
Friendly staff, tasty food. Just got some takeaway so not able to rate all the elements but menu looks tasty & would be a great spot for a long lunch. Love that they've gotten rid of disposable coffee cups & offer a 'mug library'.

Vegan options! - Edit
Cute little cafe in the Hills with lovely staff and vegan options.
Read moreThey have a vegan chai, although it's made on powder and not ideal.
The classic vegan burger with cheese, pickles, tomato, cucumber and cashew sauce for $19 was flavourless and wouldn't order again.
The vegan nacho bowl ($19) had flavour but nothing spectular that i'd want to order again.
This place is just cute for hot drinks.
